  1. 행열(rows and columns)을 포함하는 프레임 포맷(a frame format)내에 전송되는 디지탈 데이타 스트림(digital data streams)을 수신하되, 상기 프레임의 첫번째 행은 수평 동기 워드(a horizontal sychronization word)에 이어서 수직 동기 워드(a vertical synchrozation word)를 포함하는 수신기에서, 상기 수평 동기 워드를 디코딩하는 장치에 있어서, 수평 동기 워드 내의 블럭 동기 데이타(block sync data) 및 다른 데이타(other data)의 사전 설정된 각각의 위치의 아이덴티티(identity)를 저장하는 수단과; 상기 수평 동기 워드를 복원하는 수단과; 상기 사전 설정된 위치에서 상기 다른 데이타를 도출하는 수단과; 상기 도출된 다른 데이타로부터 데이타 스트림을 구성하는 수단을 포함하는 수평 동기 워드 디코딩 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 수평 동기 워드는 교호값(alternating values)을 포함하는 이진값(binary)인 수평 동기 워드 디코딩 장치.

  43. 적어도 하나의 디지탈 텔레비젼 데이타 스트림(a digital television data stream)이 구비된 고속 데이타 스트림을 포함하는 신호를 수신하는 수신 장치내의 고속 데이타 프로세서에 있어서, HDTV 신호 플래그를 포함하는 상기 수신 신호의 패킷 데이타 부분을 디코딩하는 수단과, 수신된 텔레비젼 신호를 출력하는 수단과; 상기 패킷 디코딩 수단에 응답하여, 상기 출력 텔레비젼 신호가 HDTV 신호일 때, HDTV 신호 표시기 신호를 출력하는 수단을 포함하는 고속 데이타 프로세서.
  44. 동기 파형을 발생하는 파형 발생기에 있어서, 텔레비젼 대역폭내의 주파수를 갖는 연속 주기 파형을 발생하는 연속 주기 파형 발생기 수단(a continuous periodic waveform generator means)과; 상기 연속 주기 파형의 발생을 인터럽트하는 인터럽트 수단(interrupting means)과; 상기 인터럽트 수단에 응답하여, 프레임 표시 신호(a frame marking signal)를 발생하는 프레임 표시 신호 발생기 수단으로서, 상기 프레임 표시 신호는 상기 연속 주기 파형보다 높은 진폭과 낮은 주파수를 갖는 1사이클 주기 파형을 포함하는, 상기 프레임 표시 신호 발생기 수단을 포함하는 파형 발생기.
