Claims (10)
- 하기 화학식 I의 액정 화합물:화학식 I상기 식에서,R1 및 R2는 서로 독립적으로 H, 할로겐, 또는 탄소수 1 내지 15의 할로겐화되거나 비치환된 알킬 또는 알콕시 라디칼(이때 이들 라디칼에서 하나 이상의 CH2 기는 또한 서로 독립적으로 O 원자가 서로 직접 결합하지 않도록 -C≡C-, -CH=CH-, -O-, -CO-O- 또는 -O-CO-에 의해 치환될 수 있다)이고, 이들 라디칼 R1 및 R2 중 하나는 다르게는 CN, OCN, SCN, NCS 또는 SF5일 수 있고;A1, A2, A3 및 A4는 서로 독립적으로이고;Z1, Z2 및 Z3은 서로 독립적으로 -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -CF2O-, -OCF2-, -CH20-, -0CH2-, -CH2CH2-, -(CH2)4-, -C2F4-, -CH2CF2-, -CF2CH2-, -CF=CF-, -CH=CH-, -C≡C- 또는 단일 결합이고;a, b 및 c는 서로 독립적으로 0, 1, 2 또는 3이되, a + b + c는 3 이하이다.
- 하기 화학식 IAa의 액정 화합물:상기 식에서,R1, R2, a 및 b는 제 1 항에서 정의한 바와 같되, a + b는 1 또는 2이고;L1 및 L2는 서로 독립적으로 H 또는 F이다.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,a가 1이고 b가 0이거나 또는 a가 0이고 b가 1인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 화합물.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,L1이 불소이고, L2가 불소 또는 수소인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 화합물.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,L1 및 L2가 불소인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 화합물.
- 하기 화학식 I1 내지 화학식 I31의 액정 화합물:상기 식에서,R1은 제 1 항에서 정의한 바와 같고;X는 제 1 항에서 정의한 R2의 의미와 같다.
- 제 1 항에 따른 하나 이상의 화학식 I의 화합물을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 둘 이상의 메소젠성(mesogenic) 화합물을 포함하는 액정 매질.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,하기 화학식 II 내지 화학식 IX로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상의 화합물을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질:상기 식에서,R0는 탄소수 9 이하의 n-알킬, 옥사알킬, 플루오로알킬, 알켄일옥시 또는 알켄일이고;X0는 F, Cl, 또는 탄소수 7 이하의 할로겐화 알킬, 할로겐화 알켄일, 할로겐화 알켄일옥시 또는 할로겐화 알콕시이고;Z0는 -CH=CH-, -C2H4-, -(CH2)4-, -C2F4-, -CH20-, -0CH2-, -CF=CF-, -CF2O-, -OCF2- 또는 -COO-이고;Y1, Y2, Y3 및 Y4는 서로 독립적으로 H 또는 F이고;r은 0 또는 1이다.
- 제 7 항 또는 제 8 항에 따른 액정 매질의 전기광학 목적을 위한 용도.
- 제 7 항 또는 제 8 항에 따른 액정 매질을 포함하는 전기광학 액정 표시장치.
