Claims (8)
- 서로 대향하여 배치된 제1 및 제2 기판 사이에 액정을 봉입하여 이루어지고,상기 제1 기판에는 화소마다 형성된 복수의 화소 전극과, 게이트 신호선 및 드레인 신호선이 배치되고, 상기 게이트 신호선 및 드레인 신호선에 접속된 스위칭 소자를 가지며, 상기 화소 전극은 상기 스위칭 소자에 접속되고,상기 제2 기판에는 상기 복수의 화소 전극에 대향하여 형성된 대향 전극이 형성되고,상기 화소 전극 및 대향 전극의 위에는 러빙 처리를 하지 않은 배향막이 형성되며,하나의 화소 내에서 액정의 배향 방향을 복수로 분할하는 배향제어창을 가지며, 상기 배향제어창이 상기 화소 전극 또는/및 상기 대향 전극의 법선에 대하여 기울어진 전계에 의해 액정의 배향방향을 분할하는 액정표시장치로서,상기 드레인 신호선은 상기 배향제어창에 중첩하여 배치되고,상기 드레인 신호선과 상기 배향제어창이 중첩하는 부분에 있어서, 상기 드레인 신호선의 폭이 상기 배향제어창의 폭보다 좁은 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
- 서로 대향하여 배치된 제1 및 제2 기판 사이에 액정을 봉입하여 이루어지고,상기 제1 기판에는 화소마다 형성된 복수의 화소 전극이 배치되고,상기 제2 기판에는 상기 복수의 화소 전극에 대향하여 형성된 대향 전극이 형성되고,상기 제1 기판에는, 상기 화소 전극과 상기 대향 전극이 형성하는 액정 용량과 병렬로 접속된 보조 용량을 형성하는 보조 용량 전극이 배치되고,상기 화소 전극 및 대향 전극의 위에는 러빙 처리를 하지 않은 배향막이 형성되며,하나의 화소 내에서 액정의 배향 방향을 복수로 분할하는 배향제어창을 가지며, 상기 배향제어창이 상기 화소 전극 또는/및 상기 대향 전극의 법선에 대하여 기울어진 전계에 의해 액정의 배향방향을 분할하는 액정표시장치로서,상기 보조 용량 전극은 상기 배향제어창에 중첩하여 배치되고,상기 보조 용량 전극과 상기 배향제어창이 중첩하는 부분에 있어서, 상기 보조 용량 전극의 폭이 상기 배향제어창의 폭보다 좁은 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
- 서로 대향하여 배치된 제1 및 제2 기판 사이에 액정을 봉입하여 이루어지고,상기 제1 기판에는 게이트 신호선과 드레인 신호선에 접속된 스위칭 소자와, 상기 스위칭 소자에 접속되어 도전성 재료로 이루어진 화소 전극과, 보조 용량 신호선과, 상기 액정을 배향하는 수직배향막을 구비하고,상기 제2 기판에는 복수의 상기 화소 전극에 대향하여 형성된 대향 전극 및 상기 액정을 배향하는 수직배향막을 구비하고 있고,상기 수직배향막은 러빙 처리가 되어 있지 않으며,하나의 화소 내에서 액정의 배향 방향을 복수로 분할하는 배향제어창을 가지고, 상기 배향제어창이 상기 화소 전극 또는/및 상기 대향 전극의 법선에 대하여 기울어진 전계에 의해 액정의 배향방향을 분할하는 액정표시장치로서,상기 제1 기판 위로서 상기 배향제어창과 중첩하는 위치에, 상기 게이트 신호선 및 상기 보조 용량 신호선의 일부, 및 상기 드레인 신호선을 설치하고,상기 중첩하는 위치에 있어서, 상기 게이트 신호선 및 상기 보조 용량 신호선의 일부, 및 상기 드레인 신호선의 폭이 상기 배향제어창의 폭보다 좁은 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항의 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 액정은 음의 유전율이방성을 가지고, 상기 화소 전극을 덮어서 상기 배향막이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항의 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 배향제어창은 상기 대향 전극의 상기 화소 전극과 중첩하는 위치에 있어서 상기 대향 전극이 개구되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항의 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 배향제어창은 상기 대향 전극의 상기 화소 전극과 중첩하는 위치에 있어서 상기 화소 전극이 개구되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제6항의 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 화소 전극은 행렬 형상으로 배치되며, 동일 행에 배치되는 상기 화소 전극은 서로 행 방향으로 1.5화소분보다도 작은 폭만큼 어긋나서 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서,인접하는 행의 상기 화소 전극은 서로 1.2화소분만큼 어긋나서 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향형 액정표시장치.
