Claims (11)
- 와이드 포맷 프린터 용 프린트 어셈블리에 있어서,와이드 포맷 프린터의 플래튼에 대하여 동작 위치에서 프린터의 지지 구조 상에 설치될 수 있는 연장된 캐리어;상기 캐리어 상에 위치해 있으며, 적어도 50,000개의 노즐 배열들을 포함하며, 상기 플래튼에 있는 프린팅 존 안으로 잉크 방울들을 배출할 수 있도록 위치되어 있는, 다수의 프린트헤드 칩들; 및상기 캐리어 상에 위치하고, 상기 프린트헤드 칩들의 동작을 제어하도록 구성되는 제어 회로를 포함하는, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 프린트헤드 칩들은 적어도 100,000개의 노즐 배열들을 포함하는, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 2항에 있어서,상기 프린트헤드 칩들은 적어도 200,000개의 노즐 배열들을 포함하는, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 캐리어 상에 위치된 40개 내지 100개의 프린트헤드 칩들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 1항에 있어서,각 프린트헤드 칩은 집적 회로 제조 과정에 의한 제품인, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 5항에 있어서,각 프린트헤드 칩은 웨이퍼 기판과 상기 웨이퍼 기판 상에 위치된 CMOS 구동 회로 레이어를 포함하고 상기 노즐 배열들은 상기 웨이퍼 기판과 상기 CMOS 구동 회로 레이어 상에 위치되는, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 6항에 있어서,각 노즐 배열은 상기 CMOS 구동 회로 레이어에 전기적으로 연결된 마이크로 전자 기계 시스템의 형태인, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 5항에 있어서,다수의 프린트헤드 모듈들을 포함하고 있고, 각 프린트헤드 모듈은 프린트헤드 칩을 포함하고 캐리어 상에 설치되는, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 8항에 있어서,플렉시블 인쇄 회로 기판(PCB)이 각 프린트헤드 모듈 상에 설치되고, 각 프린트헤드 칩의 상기 CMOS 구동 회로 레이어와 상기 제어 회로 사이에 연결되는, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 제 8항에 있어서,상기 프린트헤드 모듈들은 상기 프린트헤드 칩들이 각각 상기 프린팅 존의 길이를 연장한 라인에 대하여 0도보다 크고 90도보다 작은 공통적인 각도로 위치되고, 연속적인 프린트헤드 칩들이 그 끝단에서 오버랩되도록 구성되는, 프린트 어셈블리.
- 지지 구조;상기 지지 구조 상에 위치된 프린트 어셈블리로서,상기 와이드 포맷 프린터의 플래튼에 대하여 동작 위치로 설치되어 있는 캐리어;상기 캐리어 상에 위치되고, 적어도 50,000개의 노즐 배열을 포함하고 있고, 프린트헤드 칩들이 상기 플래튼에 있는 프린팅 존 안으로 잉크 방울들을 배출할 수 있도록 위치되어 있는, 다수의 프린트헤드 칩들; 및상기 캐리어 상에 위치해 있고, 상기 프린트헤드 칩들의 동작을 제어하도록 구성된 제어 회로를 포함하는, 프린트 어셈블리; 및상기 프린트 어셈블리 안으로 매체를 공급하기 위해 상기 지지 구조 상에 위치된 매체 공급 메카니즘을 포함하는, 와이드 포맷 프린터.
