Description

매트릭스 코드를 이용한 플레이스쉬프팅 이용{FACILITATING PLACESHIFTING USING MATRIX CODE}
본 발명은 플레이스쉬프팅 방송(transmission)을 이용하기 위한 시스템 및 방법에 관련되고, 더욱 구체적으로는 매트릭스 코드를 이용하여 목표장치의 사용자에게 플레이스쉬프팅 방송을 실행하기 위한 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
플레이스쉬프팅 기술은 일반적으로 사용자가 목표장치에서 콘텐츠를 볼 수 있게 하거나 수신기 같은 플레이스쉬프팅 소스에서 이용가능하다. 수신기에 집적되거나 스탠드얼론 장치에 내장된 플레이스쉬프팅 기술을 통해, 콘텐츠는 네트워크를 통해 시프팅되고 수신기에서 원격에 위치된 목표장치에서 보여진다. 쉬프팅된 콘텐츠는 위성 또는 케이블 텔레비전 제공자와 같은 서비스 제공자로부터 수신기로 수신된 프로그램 또는 다른 콘텐츠를 포함할 수 있다. 수신기는 또한 기록된 프로그램을 네트워크를 통해 목표장치에서 보여질 수 있다.

Claims (19)

  1. 플레이스쉬프팅된 콘텐츠를 전송하는 시스템으로:
    제1프로세서를 포함하는 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기;
    네트워크와 통신 가능하게 연결된 목표장치; 및
    상기 네트워크와 통신 가능하게 연결된 플레이스쉬프팅 장치를 포함하되,
    상기 제1프로세서는, 서비스 제공자로부터 콘텐츠 스트림을 수신하고, 사용자에게 표시하기 위해 상기 콘텐츠 스트림을 출력(presentation)장치에 전송하고, 여기서 상기 콘텐츠 스트림은 시청각 프로그램에 대응함; 상기 콘텐츠 스트림 또는 상기 콘텐츠 스트림에 관련된 데이터의 적어도 일부를 기초로, 사용자로부터의 제1 입력에 응답하여 매트릭스 코드를 생성하고, 여기서 상기 매트릭스 코드에 인코딩된 데이터는 상기 시청각 프로그램에 관련된 정보 및 경과시간 정보를 식별하는 상기 시청각 프로그램을 포함함; 그리고 상기 출력장치에 상기 매트릭스 코드를 전송하고 상기 매트릭스 코드를 상기 사용자에게 표시하기 위한; 컴퓨터로 실행되는 명령을 구비하고,
    상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기는 상기 제1프로세서와 통신 가능하게 연결된 기록장치를 더 포함하고, 상기 제1 프로세서는 상기 기록장치를 이용하여 상기 매트릭스 코드가 생성되면 상기 시청각 프로그램을 기록하는, 컴퓨터로 실행되는 명령을 더 구비하고;
    상기 목표장치는, 상기 매트릭스 코드를 광학적으로 검출하기 위해 구성된 광학 입력장치, 및 상기 광학 입력장치와 통신 가능하게 연결된 제2프로세서를 포함하고,
    상기 제2프로세서는, 상기 매트릭스 코드를 디코딩하고; 상기 디코딩된 매트릭스 코드의 적어도 일부 및 제2 사용자 입력을 기초로, 상기 서비스 제공자로부터 상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기로 이전에 전송된 상기 콘텐츠 스트림에 대한 요청을 생성하기 위한, 컴퓨터로 실행되는 명령을 구비하고; 상기 이전에 전송된 상기 콘텐츠 스트림에 대한 상기 요청은, 상기 매트릭스 코드가 상기 사용자에게 표시되었을 때 상기 시청각 프로그램 내 일 지점에 대응하는 상기 시청각 프로그램 내 일 지점으로부터 시작되는 상기 시청각 프로그램의 일 부분에 대한 요청을 포함하고;
    상기 플레이스쉬프팅 장치는 제3프로세서를 포함하고,
    상기 제3프로세서는 상기 네트워크를 통해 상기 서비스 제공자로부터 상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기로 상기 이전에 전송된 콘텐츠 스트림에 대한 상기 목표장치의 요청을 수신하고; 상기 요청의 적어도 일부를 기초로, 상기 네트워크를 통해 상기 목표장치로 전송하기 위한 상기 콘텐츠 스트림을 상기 기록장치의 저장장치에서 검색하고, 상기 검색된 콘텐츠 스트림을 상기 목표장치에서 상기 사용자에게 표시하기위한 컴퓨터로 실행되는 명령을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 플레이스쉬프팅 장치는 상기 콘텐츠 수신기 내에 위치한 상기 저장장치로부터 상기 콘텐츠 스트림을 검색하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 플레이스쉬프팅 장치는 상기 콘텐츠 수신기로부터 원격에 위치한 저장장치로부터 상기 콘텐츠 스트림을 검색하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 콘텐츠 스트림은 텔레비전 또는 영화 프로그램인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  5. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 매트릭스 코드는 QR코드인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  6. 목표장치의 사용자에게 플레이스쉬프팅된 콘텐츠를 제공하기 위한 방법으로:
    서비스 제공자로부터 콘텐츠 스트림을 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기에서 수신하고, 사용자에게 표시하기 위해 상기 콘텐츠 스트림을 출력 장치로 전송하는 단계-상기 콘텐츠 스트림은 시청각 프로그램에 대응됨-;
    상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기에 의해, 상기 콘텐츠 스트림 또는 상기 콘텐츠 스트림에 관련된 데이터의 적어도 일 부분을 기초로, 상기 사용자로부터의 제1 입력에 응답하여 매트릭스 코드를 생성하는 단계-상기 매트릭스 코드에 인코딩된 데이터는 상기 시청각 프로그램에 관련된 정보 및 경과시간 정보를 식별하는 상기 시청각 프로그램을 포함-;
    상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기에 의해, 상기 매트릭스 코드를 상기 출력장치에 전송하고, 상기 사용자에게 상기 매트릭스 코드를 표시하는 단계-상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기는 상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기와 통신 가능하게 연결된 기록장치를 더 포함하고, 상기 기록장치를 이용하여 상기 매트릭스 코드가 생성되면 상기 시청각 프로그램을 기록함-;
    상기 목표장치를 이용하여, 상기 매트릭스 코드를 광학적으로 검출하고, 상기 목표장치를 이용하여, 상기 매트릭스 코드 및 제2 사용자 입력을 적어도 부분적으로 기초로, 상기 서비스 제공자에서 상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기로 이전에 전송된 콘텐츠 스트림에대한 요청을 생성하는 단계-상기 이전에 전송된 콘텐츠 스트림에대한 요청은 상기 매트릭스 코드가 상기 사용자에게 표시되었을 때 상기 시청각 프로그램 내 일 지점에 대응하는 상기 시청각 프로그램 내 일 지점으로부터 시작되는 상기 시청각 프로그램의 일 부분에 대한 요청을 포함함-;
    플레이스쉬프팅 장치에서, 네트워크를 통해, 상기 서비스 제공자에서 상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기로 이전에 전송된 콘텐츠 스트림에 대한 상기 목표장치의 요청을 수신하는 단계;
    상기 플레이스쉬프팅 장치를 이용하여, 상기 요청의 적어도 일 부분을 기초로, 상기 네트워크를 통해 상기 목표장치로 전송하기 위한 상기 콘텐츠 스트림을 상기 기록장치의 저장장치에서 검색하는 단계; 및
    상기 목표장치에서, 상기 검색된 콘텐츠 스트림을 상기 사용자에게 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서,
    상기 요청은 상기 플레이스쉬프팅 장치가 상기 텔레비전 콘텐츠 수신기 내 위치하는 상기 저장장치로부터 상기 콘텐츠 스트림을 검색하도록 지정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  8. 제6항에 있어서,
    상기 매트릭스 코드는 지리적 위치를 가리키고, 상기 플레이스쉬프팅 장치에의해 전송된 상기 콘텐츠 스트림은 상기 플레이스쉬프팅 장치에의해 상기 지리적 위치로부터 원격지에 위치하는 상기 저장장치로부터 검색되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.

  9. 제6항에 있어서,
    상기 콘텐츠 스트림은 텔레비전 또는 영화 프로그램인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  10. 제6항에 있어서,
