Claims (16)
- 복수 라인을 표시할 수 있는 액정 패널의 제1 방향으로 설치된 복수의 제1 전극과 상기 제1 방향에 교차하는 제2 방향으로 설치된 복수의 제2 전극의 구동을 제어하고, 상기 액정 패널에 있어서 일부 표시 영역을 설정할 수 있는 액정 표시 제어 장치에 있어서,상기 액정 표시 제어 장치는,상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 공급되는 신호가 입력되는 인터페이스 회로와,상기 인터페이스 회로에 결합되어, 상기 액정 패널에 표시해야 하는 표시 데이터를 저장하는 표시 데이터 RAM과,상기 표시 데이터 RAM의 어드레스를 발생하는 어드레스 카운터와,상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 내부에서의 타이밍 신호를 발생하는 타이밍 발생 회로와,상기 타이밍 발생 회로에 결합되어, 상기 복수의 제1 전극을 구동하기 위한 신호를 출력하는 제1 드라이버와,상기 표시 데이터 RAM으로부터 독출된 표시 데이터에 따라 상기 복수의 제2 전극을 구동하기 위한 신호를 출력하는 제2 드라이버와,상기 인터페이스 회로에 결합되어, 상기 일부 표시 영역의 위치를 지정하는 표시 위치 설정 레지스터를 갖고,상기 표시 위치 설정 레지스터는, 상기 인터페이스 회로를 통하여, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 바꿔 기입할 수 있도록 되어 있으며,상기 제1 드라이버는, 상기 표시 위치 설정 레지스터로 지정되는 상기 일부 표시 영역의 위치의 상기 제1 전극을 구동하고, 또한, 상기 액정 패널에 있어서 비표시 영역에 대응하는 상기 일부 표시 영역 이외의 위치의 상기 제1 전극에 대하여, 비선택 레벨의 전압을 인가할 수 있도록 된 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 유리 기판상에 실장 가능한 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 드라이버로 공급되는 전압을 발생하는 승압 회로와,상기 인터페이스 회로에 결합되어, 상기 승압 회로의 승압 배율을 설정하는 승압 배율 선택 레지스터를 더 갖는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 승압 배율 선택 레지스터는, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 바꿔 기입할 수 있는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 승압 회로는, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부에 설치되는 캐패시터와 접속되는 단자를 갖는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 승압 회로는, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 공급되는 전압을 2배 또는 3배로 승압할 수 있는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 유리 기판상에 실장 가능한 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 복수 행을 표시할 수 있는 액정 패널의 제1 방향으로 설치된 복수의 제1 전극과 상기 제1 방향에 교차하는 제2 방향으로 설치된 복수의 제2 전극의 구동을 제어하고, 상기 액정 패널에 있어서 일부 표시 영역을 설정할 수 있는 액정 표시 제어 장치에 있어서,상기 액정 표시 제어 장치는,상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 공급되는 신호가 입력되는 인터페이스 회로와,상기 인터페이스 회로에 결합되어, 상기 액정 패널에 표시해야 하는 표시 데이터를 저장하는 표시 데이터 RAM과,상기 표시 데이터 RAM의 어드레스를 발생하는 어드레스 카운터와,상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 내부에서의 타이밍 신호를 발생하는 타이밍 발생 회로와,상기 타이밍 발생 회로에 결합되어, 상기 복수의 제1 전극을 구동하기 위한 신호를 출력하는 제1 드라이버와,상기 표시 데이터 RAM으로부터 독출된 표시 데이터에 따라 상기 복수의 제2 전극을 구동하기 위한 신호를 출력하는 제2 드라이버와,상기 인터페이스 회로에 결합되어, 상기 일부 표시 영역의 위치를 지정하는 표시 위치 설정 레지스터를 갖고,상기 표시 위치 설정 레지스터는, 상기 인터페이스 회로를 통하여, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 바꿔 기입할 수 있도록 되어 있으며,상기 제1 드라이버는, 상기 표시 위치 설정 레지스터로 지정되는 상기 일부 표시 영역의 위치의 상기 제1 전극을 구동하고, 또한, 상기 액정 패널에 있어서 비표시 영역에 대응하는 상기 일부 표시 영역 이외의 위치의 상기 제1 전극에 대하여, 구동 신호를 인가하지 않을 수 있도록 된 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 유리 기판상에 실장 가능한 액정 표시 제어 장치
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 제1 드라이버로 공급되는 전압을 발생하는 승압 회로와,상기 인터페이스 회로에 결합되어, 상기 승압 회로의 승압 배율을 설정하는 승압 배율 선택 레지스터를 더 갖는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 승압 배율 선택 레지스터는, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 바꿔 기입할 수 있는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 승압 회로는, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부에 설치되는 캐패시터와 접속되는 단자를 갖는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 승압 회로는, 상기 액정 표시 제어 장치의 외부로부터 공급되는 전압을 2배 또는 3배로 승압할 수 있는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 유리 기판상에 실장 가능한 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널의 상부에, 상시 표시되는 표시 영역을 더 갖는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널의 상부에, 상시 표시되는 표시 영역을 더 갖는 액정 표시 제어 장치.
