Abstract
Description
したがって、本発明の目的は生産ライン全体のスピードを低下させることなく生産ラインに組み込むことができるウエブ変速装置を提供することである。
かかる観点から、前記ドラムの平均周速度よりも小さい速度で前記ドラムが前記連続ウエブを搬送している際に、前記加工装置が前記連続ウエブに加工を施すのが好ましい。前記加工装置は、前記連続ウエブを溶着する溶着装置であってもよい。

以下、本発明の実施例が図面を参照して説明される。
図1は、第1実施例を示す。
ウエブ変速装置WSは、移動ローラ(移動体の一例)2、ワークドラム3およびカッタローラ4を備えている。移動ローラ2の上流には固定ローラ1が配置されていてもよい。ワークドラム3の上流の移動ローラ2から連続ウエブW1がワークドラム3に連続的に供給される。前記カッタローラ4の外周面には2つの刃41が設けられている。ワークドラム3には前記カッタローラ4の刃41を受ける1以上の刃受けが設けられていてもよい。
なお、ワークドラム3の周速度を変化させる方法としては、ワークドラム3を回転させる主モータと速度を変化させるサーボモータとを組み合わせて変化させる方法が採用されてもよい(たとえば特開2003−145485号参照)。

dx:ワークドラム3に対する微小時間当たりの移動ローラ2の変位量
dV(θ):微小時間当たりのワークドラム3の周速度の変化量(加速度)
すなわち、ワークドラム3に対する微小時間dt当たりの移動ローラ2の変位量dxを当該微小時間dtで除した値の2倍が、ワークドラム3の加速度dV(θ)と概ね等しい。
また、図2のように固定ローラ1と移動ローラ2とを配置することにより、移動ローラ2の移動方向と連続ウエブW1の供給速度およびワークドラム3の周速度との関係が前述の図1(a)の変速装置と逆になってもよい。
本発明の変速装置は、加工装置を備えていてもよい。該加工装置は、例えば、切断、穴開け、シール、貼り付け又は塗布等の工程を行うことが可能である。例えば、連続ウエブW1を溶着ないしシールする場合、超音波溶着、ヒートシール等が採用され得る。以下、図3を参照して、超音波溶着を用いた第2実施例が説明される。
なお、ワークドラム3の周りに複数の加工装置6,6を配置すれば、ウエブの溶着すべき領域に与える超音波エネルギーを効率的に与えることができるため、一層の速度アップが望める。

図4は第3実施例を示す。
本実施例では、受取装置50として、図4に示すように、複数のパッド55を周速度を変化させながら回転させることで各パッド間の間隔を調整する調整ドラムが採用されている。たとえば、受取装置50のパッド55の周速度は、渡し位置P5において最大速とされ、その後、コンベヤ51に切断ウエブW2を移載する際に、コンベヤ51の速度に合った速度まで減速されてもよい。前記調整ドラムとしては、たとえば、特開2002−345889号に開示された構造が採用され得る。
図5は第4実施例を示す。
本実施例では、図5に示すように、カッタローラ4はワークドラム3から離れた連続ウエブW1が受取装置50のパッド55上で切断される。
連続ウエブW1の切断位置はかかる例に限定されない。たとえば、ワークドラム3から連続ウエブW1を受け取る受取装置50とワークドラム3との間において、ワークドラム3から離れた連続ウエブW1がカッタローラ4により、切断されてもよい。
図6は第5実施例を示す。
図6に示すように、本実施例の変速装置は、第1ワークドラム3と当該第1ワークドラムの下流の第2ワークドラム3Aとを備えている。前記第2ワークドラム3Aはアンビルローラであり、前記第1ワークドラムから連続ウエブW1を受け取る。該第2ワークドラム3A上においてカッタローラ4により連続ウエブW1が切断される。
第2ワークドラム3Aで切断されて形成された切断ウエブW2は受取装置であるコンベヤ51に渡されて下流に搬送される。
たとえば、3つ以上の周期変速するワークドラムが用いられてもよい。また、移動体はロールでなくてもよい。また、ウエブを円滑に搬送するためのウエブガイダが設けられてもよい。
したがって、そのような変更および修正は、請求の範囲から定まる本発明の範囲内のものと解釈される。
Claims (6)
- ウエブの変速装置であって、
1回転ごとに1回以上周期的に周速度を変化させながら当該周速度と概ね同じ速度で連続ウエブを搬送するドラム、
前記ドラムの上流に配置され、前記ドラムに前記連続ウエブを供給する移動体、該移動体は前記ドラムに供給される前記連続ウエブの供給速度と前記ドラムにより搬送されている前記連続ウエブの搬送速度とが概ね同じになるように前記ドラムの周速度の変化に応じて移動し、そして、
前記ドラムの周速度と概ね同じ速度で搬送されている前記連続ウエブを前記ドラム上において切断するカッタ、を備えたウエブ変速装置。 - 請求項1において、前記ドラム上で前記連続ウエブに加工を施す加工装置を更に備えたウエブ変速装置。
- 請求項2において、前記加工装置が前記連続ウエブを溶着する溶着装置であるウエブ変速装置。
- 請求項3において、前記ドラムの平均周速度よりも小さい速度で前記ドラムが前記連続ウエブを搬送している際に、前記加工装置が前記連続ウエブに加工を施すウエブ変速装置。
- 請求項4において、前記ドラムの平均周速度よりも小さい速度で前記ドラムが前記連続ウエブを搬送している際に、前記カッタが前記連続ウエブを切断するウエブ変速装置。
- 請求項5において、前記カッタによる切断で生成された切断ウエブを前記ドラムから受け取って搬送する受取装置を更に備え、
前記受取装置が前記切断ウエブを受け取った際に、当該切断ウエブを前記受取装置が搬送する速度が、前記切断の際の前記連続ウエブの搬送速度よりも大きく、
これにより、前記連続ウエブの先端と前記切断ウエブの後端とが互いに離間されるウエブ変速装置。
