Abstract

(57)【要約】 【課題】ルームミラー本体の保持筺体にモニタを内設す
ることで、前記ルームミラー本体をバックミラーと各種
情報を映像するモニタとを付加して、多機能的にする。 【解決手段】車体は、多方向撮像カメラ３、リア映像カ
メラ４、及び障害物を検出する超音波センサ１４を搭載
している。ルームミラー本体１は、保持筺体５にモニタ
６を内設し、ハーフミラー７で覆うと共に、前記多方向
撮像カメラ３で撮像した車体の左右方向の画像、及び前
記リア撮像カメラ４で撮像した車体の後方の画像とを映
像する。前記モニタ６は、ギアポジション判別部１３で
変速ギアがリバースポジションにあることを検出したと
きに、リア撮像カメラ４で撮像した画像に変換する。前
記モニタ６は、前記超音波センサ１４で検知した車体か
ら障害物までの距離や、車体が障害物に近接したときに
表示する警告マーク等を表示する。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、自動車のルームミ
ラー本体にモニタを内設した車両用監視装置に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来から、この種の技術としては、例え
ば特開平１−１０９４５０号公報に開示された技術があ
る。この従来の技術は、車両の後方を監視用の撮像カメ
ラで撮像した映像のみを液晶ディスプレイでなるルーム
ミラーの鏡面部に表示するものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、前述し
た従来の車両用監視装置は、車両の後方のみを監視する
もので、ルームミラーに映像される画像は、車両の後方
の実写像の範囲を単に広範囲に拡大したのに過ぎないも
ので、機能的に劣るという問題点がある。
【０００４】本発明は、ルームミラー本体の保持筺体に
モニタを内設することで、前記ルームミラー本体をバッ
クミラーと各種情報を映像するモニタとを付加して、多
機能的にすることを目的とする。
【０００５】
【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の請求項１の発明
は、前述した従来の技術の問題点を解消すべく発明した
ものであり、車室内にルームミラー本体を設置し、車体
の後方や左右方向等を監視する車両用監視装置におい
て、前記車体は、車体前方に配置した多方向撮像カメラ
と車体頂部に配置したリア撮像カメラを備え、前記ルー
ムミラー本体は、保持筺体にモニタを内設し、ハーフミ
ラーで覆うと共に、前記多方向撮像カメラで撮像した車
体の左右方向の画像、及び前記リア撮像カメラで撮像し
た車体の後方の画像とを映像することでなる。
【０００６】また、請求項２の発明は、前記請求項１の
発明において、前記モニタは、ギアポジション判別部で
変速ギアがリバースポジションにあることを検出したと
きに、リア撮像カメラで撮像した画像に変換することで
なる。
【０００７】また、請求項３の発明は、前記請求項１、
又は２の発明において、前記車体は、前後左右等の端部
に障害物を検出する超音波センサを設置すると共に、前
記モニタは、超音波センサで検知した車体から障害物ま
での距離や、車体が障害物に近接したときに表示する警
告マーク等を表示することでなる。
【０００８】また、請求項４の発明は、前記請求項１、
２、又は３の発明において、前記モニタは、ハーフミラ
ーの裏面側に車体の車幅の目安となるＬＥＤを設置した
ことでなる。
【０００９】
【発明の実施の形態】まず、図１、乃至図８に基づき本
発明の実施形態を詳述する。１は、車体２の運転席の前
方の車室内天井面に設置したルームミラー本体である。
該ルームミラー本体１は、車体２の後方を写すバックミ
ラーの機能と、車体２の前端から左右方向を撮影する多
方向撮像カメラ３のフロントコーナモニタの機能と、車
体２の後方を撮影するリア撮像カメラ４のリアモニタの
機能と、車体２の前方端部に設置した超音波センサ１４
で計測した車体２から障害物までの距離を表示する機能
と、を兼備している。
【００１０】ルームミラー本体１は、図３及び図４に示
すように保持筺体５と、モニタ６と、ハーフミラー７
と、枠体８と、アーム９とでなる。車体２は、乗用車、
バスやトラックや作業車でもよく、特に限定しない。該
車体２は、図１及び図２に示すように、前後のバンパー
２ａ，２ｃの端両部等に、車体２から障害物までの距離
を計測する超音波センサ１４を設置している。
【００１１】前記多方向撮像カメラ３は、例えば図１及
び図２に示すように、バンパー２ａやボンネット等の車
体２の前後に配設して、該車体２の前端から左右側面方
向を撮像するＣＣＤカメラでなる。該多方向撮像カメラ
３は、運転席から運転手が視認することが困難な車体２
の前端から左右方向の障害物や他の車両を映す小型カメ
ラである。リア撮像カメラ４は、車体２の屋根２ｂなど
の車体２の後方に設置し、車体２の後方を映すＣＣＤカ
メラでなる。
【００１２】保持筺体５は、車体２の内側天井面に固着
したアーム９に、回動自在に支持される。該保持筺体５
は、モニタ６、及びハーフミラー７を介して枠体８を嵌
着している。
【００１３】前記モニタ６は、例えば液晶ディスプレイ
ユニットでなるが、ＣＲＴなどの他の表示装置であって
もよい。該モニタ６は、バックライト６ａと、ランプハ
ウス６ｂと、拡散板６ｃと、液晶ディスプレイ６ｄとで
なる。該モニタ６に接続したコード１０は、図４に示す
ように保持筺体５、及び筒状のアーム９内を挿通して車
体２側に配線される。尚、モニタ６は、図３に示すよう
に２つで構成しても１つで構成してもどちらでもよい。
【００１４】前記バックライト６ａは、拡散板６ｃを後
方から照明するものである。前記ランプハウス６ｂは、
バックライト６ａを覆って漏光を防止するケース体であ
る。拡散板６ｃは、映像を拡大するレンズ機能を有する
ものである。液晶ディスプレイ６ｄは、車体２の前方に
設置した前記多方向撮像カメラ３、及び車体２の頂部に
設置したリア撮像カメラ４で撮像した映像を映すもので
ある。
【００１５】ハーフミラー７は、バックライト６ａが点
灯しモニタ６がＯＮしたときに該モニタ６に多方向撮像
カメラ３又はリア撮像カメラ４の映像を映し、モニタ６
がＯＦＦのときに車体２の後方に反射して写す鏡であ
る。枠体８は、前記保持筺体５の開口部５ａに嵌着する
ことで、前記モニタ６、及びハーフミラー７を前記保持
筺体５内に収納する。前記超音波センサ１４は、車体２
の前後バンパー２ａ，２ｃの端両部や車体２の前後端部
の下面等に設置する。
【００１６】次に図８の電気ブロック結線図に基づき本
発明の電気回路を詳述する。３は、前記多方向撮像カメ
ラである。４は、前記リア撮像カメラである。１１は、
多方向撮像カメラ３とリア撮像カメラ４との切換え部で
ある。１２は、制御部である。１３は、自動車の変速ギ
アのポジションを検出し、ギアがリバース位置に入ると
自動的にリア撮像カメラ４に切換えるギアポジション判
別部である。該ギアポジション判別部１３は、例えばシ
フトレバーのポジションをリミットスイッチ等で検出し
て作動するものである。
【００１７】１４は、車体２の前後左右端部に設置さ
れ、障害物の検出や車体２からの距離等を検出する超音
波センサである。１５は、オンスクリーンディスプレイ
１６に映し出す文字や絵を記憶するメモリである。前記
オンスクリーンディスプレイ１６は、図６に示すように
文字や絵を、多方向撮像カメラ３やリア撮像カメラ４の
実写像を液晶ディスプレイ６ｄに重ねて表示するための
ものである。１７は、液晶ディスプレイ６ｄを駆動する
ためのドライバである。１８は、バックライト６ａを点
灯するためのドライバである。
【００１８】図７及び図８において１９は、車体２の車
幅の目安となる虚像コーナーポールの役目をするＬＥＤ
である。該ＬＥＤ１９は、図７で示すようにモニタ６に
映る実写像に、車幅を示す２つでなるＬＥＤ１９を点灯
させることで、運転手に車体２が壁などの障害物に近接
したことを表示するものである。該ＬＥＤ１９は、ハー
フミラー７の裏側に設置してモニタ６の画面に重ねて表
示される。２０は、一方をバッテリー２１、他方を制御
部１２に接続した電源スイッチである。
【００１９】次に本発明の作用を詳述する。電源スイッ
チ２０がＯＦＦのとき、ルームミラー本体１は、車体２
の後方を確認するバックミラーとして使用する。ルーム
ミラー本体１は、ハーフミラー７で構成されているの
で、バックライト６ａが消灯しているときには、鏡と同
一機能がある。
【００２０】ルームミラー本体１に映像を映すときに、
電源スイッチ２０をＯＮする。例えば、運転席から左右
方向を確認することができない見通しの悪い交差点に侵
入したときは、切換え部１１を多方向撮像カメラ３の映
像に切り換える。すると、図５に示すように車体２の前
端から左右方向を見た映像が映し出されて、運転席から
死角となっていた場所を確認でき、出会い頭の衝突事故
を防止することができる。
【００２１】例えば車体２を車庫入れ等で後退させると
きは、変速ギアをリバースポジションに入れるか、又は
切換え部１１でリア撮像カメラ４の映像に切換えると、
ルームミラー本体１には、車体２の後方の映像が映し出
される。
【００２２】例えば、図６に示すように超音波センサ１
４で検知した車体２から障害物までの距離や障害物に近
接したときの警告マーク等の表示と、リア撮像カメラ４
による車体２後方の画像とを組み合わせて液晶ディスプ
レイ６ｄに表示する。これにより、運転手は、液晶ディ
スプレイ６ｄで多方向撮像カメラ３とリア撮像カメラ４
の画像でどのような障害物があるか、障害物までの距離
がどれだけあるか確認できる。また、運転手は、車体２
が障害物に近接した場合、液晶ディスプレイ６ｄの画面
に警告マークを表示させることで、衝突を回避すること
ができる。
【００２３】また、液晶ディスプレイ６ｄは、図７のよ
うに該ＬＥＤ１９を液晶ディスプレイ６ｄに映像された
画像内に点灯することで、コーナーポールの役目をし、
車幅の目安にすることができる。
【００２４】ルームミラー本体１は、多方向撮像カメラ
３の映像と、リア撮像カメラ４の映像と、超音波センサ
１４による車体２から障害物までの距離や障害物に近接
したときの警告マークを示す文字映像と、バックミラー
としての反射像と、を１台で映し出すことができる多機
能的なものである。

【発明の効果】本発明は、以上説明したように構成した
ので、次のような効果がある。本発明の請求項１の発明
は、車室内にルームミラー本体を設置し、車体の後方や
左右方向等を監視する車両用監視装置において、前記車
体は、車体前方に配置した多方向撮像カメラと車体頂部
に配置したリア撮像カメラを備え、前記ルームミラー本
体は、保持筺体にモニタを内設し、ハーフミラーで覆う
と共に、前記多方向撮像カメラで撮像した車体の左右方
向の画像、及び前記リア撮像カメラで撮像した車体の後
方の画像とを映像することで、前記ルームミラー本体を
ルームミラーと、各種情報を映像するモニタとして使用
することができ、運転の安全性を向上させることができ
る。また、前記モニタは、ルームミラー本体に設置した
ことで、２つの品物を１つにしてインストルメントパネ
ルなどをスペースを占有することなく、車室内の住居性
を低減することがない。
【００２６】請求項２の発明は、前記請求項１の発明に
おいて、前記モニタは、リア撮像カメラで撮像した車体
の後方の画像、又は多方向撮像カメラで撮像した車体の
左右方向の画像のどちらかを映像することで、運転手
は、前記モニタでリア撮像カメラと多方向撮像カメラか
らの映像を確認することで、通常の運転姿勢に保ちなが
ら車体の後方と車体の前端の左右方向の障害物等を視認
することができ、自動車の運転の安全性を向上させるこ
とができる。
【００２７】請求項３の発明は、前記請求項２の発明に
おいて、前記モニタは、ギアポジション判別部で変速ギ
アがリバースポジションにあることを検出したときに、
リア撮像カメラで撮像した画像に変換することで、運転
手が車体を後退させ後方を確認すべきときに、ルームミ
ラー本体にリア撮像カメラで撮像した画像を映像するの
で、便利であり、かつ運転席から視認不可能な場所まで
確認できるので安全性を向上させることができる。
【００２８】請求項４の発明は、前記請求項１、２、又
は３の発明において、前記モニタは、超音波センサで検
知した車体から障害物までの距離等を表示することで、
車体が障害物に近接したことを検知することができ、障
害物に衝突することを防止すると共に、狭い車庫の車庫
入れなどのときの運転操作に役立てることができる。

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 車室内にルームミラー本体（１）を設置
    し、車体（２）の後方や左右方向等を監視する車両用監
    視装置において、 前記車体（２）は、車体（２）前方に配置した多方向撮
    像カメラ（３）と車体（２）頂部に配置したリア撮像カ
    メラ（４）を備え、 前記ルームミラー本体（１）は、保持筺体（５）にモニ
    タ（６）を内設し、ハーフミラー（７）で覆うと共に、
    前記多方向撮像カメラ（３）で撮像した車体（２）の左
    右方向の画像、及び前記リア撮像カメラ（４）で撮像し
    た車体（２）の後方の画像とを映像することを特徴とす
    る車両用監視装置。
  2. 【請求項２】 前記請求項１の発明において、 前記モニタ（６）は、ギアポジション判別部（１３）で
    変速ギアがリバースポジションにあることを検出したと
    きに、リア撮像カメラ（４）で撮像した画像に変換する
    ことを特徴とする車両用監視装置。
  3. 【請求項３】 前記請求項１、又は２の発明において、 前記車体（２）は、前後左右等の端部に障害物を検出す
    る超音波センサ（１４）を設置すると共に、 前記モニタ（６）は、超音波センサ（１４）で検知した
    車体（２）から障害物までの距離や、車体（２）が障害
    物に近接したときに表示する警告マーク等を表示するこ
    とを特徴とする車両用監視装置。
  4. 【請求項４】 前記請求項１、２、又は３の発明におい
    て、 前記モニタ（６）は、ハーフミラー（７）の裏面側に車
    体（２）の車幅の目安となるＬＥＤ（１９）を設置した
    ことを特徴とする車両用監視装置。
