Description
(1)微多孔性支持膜上に形成された多官能性アミンと多官能性酸ハロゲン化物との反応物からなる分離機能層を備える複合半透膜であって、該分離機能層に、該分離機能層を構成するアミノ基と接触することにより共有結合を形成する水溶性有機物または陽イオン界面活性剤を接触させており、かつ、25℃、pH6.5、ホウ素濃度5ppm、およびTDS濃度3.5重量%の海水を5.5MPaの操作圧力で透過させたとき、該分離機能層が95%以上のホウ素除去率を有する、複合半透膜。
(2)陽電子消滅寿命測定法により測定されるとき、該分離機能層が0.25nm以上0.35nm以下の平均孔半径を有しかつ0.2nm3%以上0.3nm3%以下の空孔量を有する、(1)に記載の複合半透膜。
(5)該ホルミル基を有する化合物が、共有結合によりアミンと結合できる官能基を2以上有するアルデヒドである、(4)に記載の複合半透膜。
(6)該オキシラニル基を有する化合物が、共有結合によりアミンと結合できる官能基を2以上有するエポキシドである、(4)に記載の複合半透膜。
(7)該陽イオン界面活性剤が第四級アンモニウム塩である(1)〜(3)のいずれかに記載の複合半透膜。
(8)該第四級アンモニウム塩が、塩化アルキルトリメチルアンモニウム、塩化ジステアリルジメチルベンジルアンモニウム、塩化ステアリルジメチルベンジルアンモニウム、塩化ステアリルトリメチルベンジルアンモニウム、塩化セチルトリメチルアンモニウム、塩化セチルピリジウム、塩化ベンザルコニウム、塩化トリn−オクチルアンモニウム、塩化ベンゼトニウム、および塩化ラウリルトリメチルアンモニウムから選ばれる少なくとも1つである(7)に記載の複合半透膜。
温度25℃、pH6.5に調整した海水(そのTDS濃度約3.5%およびホウ素濃度約5.0ppm)を操作圧力5.5MPaで複合半透膜に供給し、透過水中の塩濃度を測定した。膜による塩の除去率は次の式から求めた。
海水を複合半透膜に供給し、膜1m2を通過する一日あたりの透水量(m3)を膜透過流束(m3/m2/日)とした。
原水中のホウ素濃度と透過水中のホウ素濃度を、ICP発光分光光度計で測定し、次の式からホウ素の除去率を求めた。
「膜処理技術大系」、上巻、171頁、中垣 正幸 監修,フジテクノシステム(1991)に記載の以下の式から塩透過係数を求めた。
特に加工することなく複合半透膜における分離機能層の陽電子消滅寿命測定を行う場合、以下のように陽電子ビーム法を用いて測定を行うことができる。すなわち、減圧下室温で分離機能層を乾燥させ、1.5cm×1.5cm角に切断して検査試料とする。陽電子ビーム発生装置を装備した薄膜対応陽電子消滅寿命測定装置(この装置は、例えば、Radiation Physics and Chemistry,58,603,Pergamon(2000)で詳細に説明されている)にて、ビーム強度1keV、室温、真空下で、光電子増倍管を使用して二フッ化バリウム製シンチレーションカウンターにより総カウント数500万で検査試料を測定し、POSITRONFITにより解析を行う。解析により得られた第4成分の平均寿命τから、平均孔半径R、平均孔体積V、相対強度I、および空孔量V×Iを分析することができる。
以下の表にあるとおり以下の省略形を用いる。

参考例1および2
ポリエステル不織布(透水率0.5〜1cc/cm2・秒)上にポリスルホン15.3%のN,N−ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)溶液を200μmの厚みになるよう室温(25℃)でキャストし、ただちに純水に浸漬して5分間放置することにより微多孔性支持膜を作製した。このようにして形成された微多孔性支持膜(厚さ210〜215μm)を、表1記載の多官能性アミンを含むアミン水溶液中に2分間浸漬し、次いで垂直方向にゆっくりと引き上げ、エアーノズルからの窒素気流にさらすことによって支持膜表面から余分な溶液を取り除いた。その後、表1記載の多官能性酸ハロゲン化物を含むn−デカン溶液をその表面が完全に濡れるように塗布して、そのまま1分間保持した。次に該膜から余分な溶液を除去するため、該膜を2分間垂直に保持して液切りした。その後、これを、90℃の熱水で2分間洗浄し、そしてpH7、塩素濃度200mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬し、次いで亜硫酸水素ナトリウム濃度が1,000mg/lの水溶液に浸漬して、余分な次亜塩素酸ナトリウムを還元除去した。さらに、この膜を95℃の熱水で2分間再洗浄した。こうして得られた複合半透膜を評価したところ、その膜透過流束、塩除去率、ホウ素除去率、および塩透過係数は表1に示すとおりとなった。
pH7、塩素濃度200mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬することを行わなかった以外は、参考例2と同様にして複合半透膜を作製した。こうして得られた複合半透膜を評価したところ、その膜透過流束、塩除去率、ホウ素除去率、および塩透過係数は表1に示すとおりとなった。
表2記載の水溶性有機材料を、所定濃度に相当するまで水に溶解し溶液を調製した。必要に応じて10%程度のイソプロピルアルコールを添加した。参考例1〜3で得た複合半透膜のそれぞれを、室温でこの水溶液に所定時間浸漬した。その後、この膜を純水で洗浄して新たな複合半透膜を得た。こうして得られた複合半透膜を評価したところ、その膜透過流束、塩除去率、ホウ素除去率、および塩透過係数は表2に示すとおりとなった。
参考例3で得られた複合半透膜を、室温でグルタルアルデヒド1%水溶液に60分間浸漬した。次にこれを純水で洗浄した後、pH7、塩素濃度200mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液中に2分間浸漬し、次いで亜硫酸水素ナトリウム濃度が1,000mg/lの水溶液に浸漬して、余分な次亜塩素酸ナトリウムを還元除去した。さらに、この膜を再度95℃の熱水で2分間洗浄した。こうして得られた複合半透膜を評価したところ、その膜透過流束、塩除去率、ホウ素除去率、および塩透過係数は表2に示すとおりとなった。
参考例1で得られた複合半透膜を、表3記載の各水溶性化合物0.1%の水溶液に室温で1時間浸漬した後、純水で洗浄して新たな複合半透膜を得た。こうして得られた複合半透膜を評価したところ、その膜透過流束、塩除去率、ホウ素除去率、および塩透過係数は表3に示すとおりとなった。
参考例1および2と同じ微多孔性支持膜を、表4記載のアミンおよび添加物が溶解された水溶液に2分間浸漬し、次いで垂直方向にゆっくりと引き上げ、エアーノズルからの窒素気流にさらすことによって支持膜表面から余分な溶液を取り除いた。その後、表4記載の濃度で調製した多官能性芳香族酸ハロゲン化物および脂肪族酸ハロゲン化物のn−デカン混合溶液を、その表面が完全に濡れるように塗布し、そのまま1分間保持した。次に該膜を垂直に1分間保持して液切りした。次いでこれを風乾してデカン溶媒を除去した後、水道水の流水で洗浄して、該膜に残存する薬品を除去した。その後、これを、90℃の熱水で2分間洗浄し、pH7、塩素濃度200mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬してから、1,000mg/lの亜硫酸水素ナトリウムを含む水溶液に浸漬した。さらに、該膜を95℃の熱水で2分間再洗浄した。
参考例1および2と同じ微多孔性支持膜を、表4に示す多官能性アミンを含むアミン水溶液中に2分間浸漬し、次いで垂直方向にゆっくりと引き上げ、エアーノズルからの窒素気流にさらすことによって支持膜表面から余分な溶液を取り除いた。その後、トリメシン酸クロリド0.12%およびテレフタル酸クロリド0.18%を含むn−デカン溶液をその表面が完全に濡れるように塗布し、そのまま1分間保持した。次に、該膜を垂直に2分間保持して液切りすることにより、支持膜から余分な溶液を除去した。次いで、表4記載の一官能アミンおよびドデシル硫酸ナトリウム0.3%を含むアミン水溶液をそれに塗布した。次いで、これを風乾して支持膜表面から余分な溶液を除去した後、90℃の熱水道水で洗浄した。その後、これを、pH7、塩素濃度200mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬し、次いで亜硫酸水素ナトリウム1,000mg/lを含む水溶液に浸漬した。さらに、この膜を95℃の熱水で2分間再洗浄した。
参考例1および2と同じ微多孔性支持膜を、表4に示すアミンおよび添加剤が溶解された水溶液に2分間浸漬し、次いで垂直方向にゆっくりと引き上げ、エアーノズルからの窒素気流にさらすことによって支持膜表面から余分な溶液を取り除いた。その後、表5記載の濃度で調製した多官能性芳香族酸ハロゲン化物および脂肪族酸ハロゲン化物のn−デカン混合溶液を、その表面が完全に濡れるように塗布し、そのまま1分間保持した。次いで該膜を垂直に1分間保持して液切りした。次いで、これを、風乾してデカン溶媒を除去し、水道水の流水で洗浄して膜に残存する薬品を除去した。その後、これを90℃の熱水で2分間洗浄し、pH7、塩素濃度200mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬してから、1,000mg/lの亜硫酸水素ナトリウムを含む水溶液に浸漬した。さらに、この膜を95℃の熱水で2分間再洗浄した。
特開2004−243198号公報の実施例1〜3に記載された方法により調製した複合半透膜の膜透過流束、塩除去率、ホウ素除去率、および塩透過係数を評価した。その詳細を以下に示す。
ポリエステル繊維からなる、長さ30cm幅20cmの大きさのタフタ(縦糸、横糸とも166デシテックスのマルチフィラメント糸、織密度は縦90本/インチ、横67本/インチ、厚さ160μm)をガラス板上に固定し、その上にポリスルホン15.7%のN,N−ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)溶液を、200μmの厚みで、25℃にてキャストし、次いでただちに純水に浸漬して5分間置いた。次いで、これを90℃の熱水で2分間処理して微多孔性支持膜(以下「FT−PS支持膜」という)を調製した。このFT−PS支持膜は、200〜210μmの厚みを有し、圧力0.1MPa、液温25℃、および雰囲気温度25℃で測定したとき、0.01〜0.03g/cm2・秒・atmの純水透過係数を有した。
グルタルアルデヒドの代わりにホルマリンを用いた以外は比較例29と同様にして複合半透膜を調製し評価した。
0.4%グルタルアルデヒドを塗布した後、80℃で熱処理を行った以外は、比較例29と同様にして複合半透膜を調製し評価した。
グルタルアルデヒド1.0%を含む水溶液を膜表面に塗布することおよび2分間保持することを行わなかった以外は比較例29と同様にして複合半透膜を調製し評価した。
グルタルアルデヒド1.0%を含む水溶液を膜表面に塗布することおよび2分間保持することを行わず、また、膜性能向上のため、pH7、塩素濃度500ppmに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬することを行わなかった以外は比較例29と同様にして複合半透膜を調製し評価した。
参考例1と同様に調製した複合半透膜を、0.1%グルタルアルデヒド水溶液に1時間浸漬した後、純水で洗浄することによって複合半透膜を調製した。この複合半透膜に対して、陽電子ビーム法による陽電子消滅寿命測定法および膜透過性の評価を行った。その結果を表7および図1に示す。
参考例1および2と同じ微多孔性支持膜を、mPDA3.4%の水溶液に2分間浸漬し、次いで垂直方向にゆっくりと引き上げ、エアーノズルからの窒素気流にさらすことによって支持膜表面から余分な溶液を取り除いた。その後、TMC0.165%のn−デカン溶液をその表面が完全に濡れるように塗布し、そのまま1分間保持した。次いで膜を垂直に1分間保持して液切りした。次に、これを風乾してデカン溶媒を除去した後、水道水の流水で洗浄して膜に残存する薬品を除去した。その後、これを90℃の熱水で2分間洗浄し、pH7、塩素濃度200mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬してから、1,000mg/lの亜硫酸水素ナトリウムを含む水溶液に浸漬した。さらに、膜を95℃の熱水で2分間再洗浄した。こうして得られた複合半透膜について、実施例24と同様に陽電子消滅寿命測定法および膜透過性の評価を行った。その結果を表7および図1に示す。
参考例1および2と同じ微多孔性支持膜を、トリアミノベンゼン0.55%、mPDA1.45%およびエチレンジアミン0.15%の水溶液に2分間浸漬し、次いで垂直方向にゆっくりと引き上げ、エアーノズルからの窒素気流にさらすことによって支持膜表面から余分な溶液を取り除いた。その後、TMC0.0675%およびテレフタル酸クロリド0.0825%のn−デカン溶液をその表面が完全に濡れるように塗布し、そのまま1分間保持した。次いで膜を垂直に1分間保持して液切りした。次にこれを風乾してデカン溶媒を除去し、1%炭酸ナトリウムおよび0.3%ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムの水溶液に5分間浸漬してから、水道水の流水で洗浄して膜に残存する薬品を除去した。その後、これを70℃の熱水で2分間洗浄し、pH7、塩素濃度500mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬してから、1,000mg/lの亜硫酸水素ナトリウムを含む水溶液に浸漬した。
参考例1および2と同じ微多孔性支持膜を、トリアミノベンゼン0.46%、mPDA1.2%、エチレンジアミン0.12%およびε−カプロラクタム1%の水溶液に2分間浸漬し、次いで垂直方向にゆっくりと引き上げ、エアーノズルからの窒素気流にさらすことによって支持膜表面から余分な溶液を取り除いた。その後、TMC0.1%のn−デカン溶液をその表面が完全に濡れるように塗布し、そのまま1分間保持した。次に膜を垂直に1分間保持して液切りした。次いでこれを風乾してデカン溶媒を除去し、1%炭酸ナトリウムおよび0.3%ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムの水溶液に5分間浸漬してから、水道水の流水で洗浄して膜に残存する薬品を除去した。その後、これを70℃の熱水で2分間洗浄し、pH7、塩素濃度500mg/lに調整した次亜塩素酸ナトリウム水溶液に2分間浸漬してから、1,000mg/lの亜硫酸水素ナトリウムを含む水溶液に浸漬した。
Claims (5)
- 微多孔性支持膜上に形成された多官能性アミンと多官能性酸ハロゲン化物との反応物からなる分離機能層を備え、かつ25℃、pH6.5、ホウ素濃度5ppm、TDS3.5重量%の海水を5.5MPaの操作圧力で透過させたときの脱塩率が99.5%以上または塩透過係数が3×10 −8 m/s以下である被処理複合半透膜の分離機能層に、該分離機能層を構成するアミノ基と接触することにより共有結合を形成する水溶性有機物または陽イオン界面活性剤を接触させてなる複合半透膜であって、
前記水溶性有機物は、ホルミル基を有する化合物、ホルミル基を有する化合物の誘導体、オキシラニル基を有する化合物およびオキシラニル基を有する化合物の誘導体からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種の化合物であり、
前記陽イオン界面活性剤は第四級アンモニウム塩であり、
25℃、pH6.5、ホウ素濃度5ppm、およびTDS濃度3.5重量%の海水を5.5MPaの操作圧力で透過させたとき、95%以上のホウ素除去率を有する、
陽電子消滅寿命測定法により測定されるとき、該分離機能層が0.25nm以上0.35nm以下の平均孔半径を有しかつ0.2nm 3 %以上0.3nm 3 %以下の空孔量を有する、
複合半透膜。 - 該ホルミル基を有する化合物が、共有結合によりアミンと結合できる官能基を2以上有するアルデヒドである、
請求項1に記載の複合半透膜。 - 該オキシラニル基を有する化合物が、共有結合によりアミンと結合できる官能基を2以上有するエポキシドである、
請求項1または2に記載の複合半透膜。 - 該第四級アンモニウム塩が、塩化アルキルトリメチルアンモニウム、塩化ジステアリルジメチルベンジルアンモニウム、塩化ステアリルジメチルベンジルアンモニウム、塩化ステアリルトリメチルベンジルアンモニウム、塩化セチルトリメチルアンモニウム、塩化セチルピリジウム、塩化ベンザルコニウム、塩化トリn−オクチルアンモニウム、塩化ベンゼトニウム、および塩化ラウリルトリメチルアンモニウムから選ばれる少なくとも1つである
請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の複合半透膜。 - 微多孔性支持膜上で多官能性アミンと多官能性酸ハロゲン化物とを接触させて重縮合によりポリアミドからなる分離機能層を形成して、25℃、pH6.5、ホウ素濃度5ppm、TDS3.5重量%の海水を5.5MPaの操作圧力で透過させたときの脱塩率が99.5%以上または塩透過係数が3×10 −8 m/s以下である被処理複合半透膜を準備すること、および、
25℃、pH6.5、ホウ素濃度5ppm、およびTDS濃度3.5重量%の海水を5.5MPaの操作圧力で透過させたときのホウ素除去率が95%以上になり、かつ陽電子消滅寿命測定法により測定されるとき、該分離機能層が0.25nm以上0.35nm以下の平均孔半径を有しかつ0.2nm 3 %以上0.3nm 3 %以下の空孔量を有するようになるまで、該分離機能層を、該分離機能層を構成するアミノ基と接触することにより共有結合を形成する水溶性有機物または陽イオン界面活性剤と接触させることを備え、
前記水溶性有機物は、ホルミル基を有する化合物、ホルミル基を有する化合物の誘導体、オキシラニル基を有する化合物、およびオキシラニル基を有する化合物の誘導体からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一の化合物ないし誘導体を含んでなる有機物であり、
前記陽イオン界面活性剤は第四級アンモニウム塩である、
