Claims (1)
- ディスクに対するトラッキング方向に回動自在に設けられたスイングアームと、前記スイングアームに支持されてフォーカシング方向に駆動される光ピックアップユニットを含む光ピックアップ装置において、
前記光ピックアップユニットは、
レーザーダイオードと、
前記レーザーダイオードから出射された光を前記ディスクの記録面に集束させる対物レンズと、
そのディスクと隣接して配置してあり、前記ディスクの回転時に発生する風が通過できる貫通ホールが形成してあり、前記レーザーダイオードの熱を放熱させる放熱板とを含み、
前記貫通ホールは、前記スイングアームの長手方向と同じ向きであり、且つ、流入口側から流出口側に行くほど断面積が狭まる形状であり、
前記ディスクの回転時に発生する風が前記放熱板と直接接触し、且つ該風が前記貫通ホール内に呼び込まれて通過し、前記放熱板の内外の冷却が同時に行われる構成としたことを特徴とする光ピックアップ装置。
