Abstract
Description
a)1つ以上の熱可塑性エラストマーと、

b4)場合により、リン酸エステル難燃剤と、
を含む難燃剤混合物と、
を含む難燃性ポリマー組成物に関する。
本明細書に記載される難燃性の熱可塑性エラストマー組成物における難燃性は、本明細書で難燃性組成物とも称される難燃剤混合物によって付与される。これらの難燃剤混合物b)は、水酸化マグネシウムである難燃剤b1)を含む。水酸化マグネシウムの代替として、その他のカーボネート、塩基及び両性酸化物、水酸化物(水酸化アルミニウム以外)、スズ酸、及び難燃剤b1)のいずれか2つ以上の混合物が、本発明の難燃剤混合物において使用されることができる。
本発明の難燃性ポリマー組成物、及び比較の組成物を、以下の通り調製した。表1及び2に列挙された量において、前述の材料を、2軸スクリュー押し出し成形機にて溶融ブレンドした。実施例E1〜E10、及び、比較例C1〜C10の配合された溶融ブレンド混合物を、レース又はストランドの形態で押し出し成形し、水浴で冷却し、顆粒に切断し、偶発的な水分への露出を防止するために、密封したアルミニウム裏地のバッグに置いた。
機械的測定を、以下の通り行った。射出成形する前に、本発明の難燃性組成物の顆粒、及び、前述の方法に従って調製した比較の組成物からの顆粒を乾燥して、0.08パーセント未満の水分レベルを有する粒状の組成物を得た。破断引張り応力、及び、破断伸びを、2mmの厚さの射出成形されたISO引張りバー5A試料を使用し方法ISO 527に従って測定した。引張りバーの長さは75mmであり、試験速度は50mm/分であった。
燃焼性試験は、UL94試験標準、20mm垂直燃焼試験に従って行った。試験片を、長さ125mm×幅13mm及び厚さ1.6mmの寸法を有する試験バーの形態で組成物を射出成形することによって、本発明の組成物、及び、比較の組成物から形成した。射出成形する前に、前述の方法に従って調製した難燃性組成物の顆粒を乾燥して、0.08パーセント未満の水分レベルを有する粒状の組成物を得た。測定の前に、試験片を、23℃及び50%の相対湿度で48時間、調整した。試験片を、試験片の下縁が乾燥吸収剤脱脂綿の水平層の上方300mmであるように、垂直方向において試験片の縦軸で固定した。高さ20mmの青色火炎を生成するバーナーを、火炎が、10秒間、試験片の底縁の中間点に中心で適用されるように置いた。10秒間の試験片への火炎の適用後に、バーナーを試料から引き離し、残炎時間、t1を測定した。試験片の残炎が停止したときに、バーナーを、更に10秒間、試験片の下に再度置いた。次いで、試験片を火炎から引き離し、第2の残炎時間、t2を測定した。材料を、燃焼中の材料の挙動に基づいて、V−0、V−1、又はV−2として試験規格に従って分類し、V−2が、最低の要求される分類であった。組成物が最低の要求される分類(V−2)についての判断基準を満たさない場合、表では「不良」として報告される。
装置及びセットアップ方法 表1及び2に記載される組成物からの排煙を、標準法ASTM E662火炎モードに従って測定した。幅75×75mmの寸法の長方形のプラークの形状における2mmの厚さを有する試験片を、こうして得られた押し出し成形された材料から成形した。試験を、England、East GrinsteadのFire Testing Technology Ltdによって供給されたNBS煙チャンバーにおいて実行した。結果を、特定の光学濃度、Dsとして表す。煙チャンバー試験は、特定の光学濃度対時間の曲線をもたらす。表1及び2においては、測定された以下のパラメーターは、材料の排煙性能を記載する。
Ds,m:20分の実験期間に渡り測定された最大特定光学濃度。
VOF4:期間t=0〜t=4分の間のDs対時間曲線の下での領域である。
Claims (17)
- a)1つ以上の熱可塑性エラストマーと、
b)b1)水酸化マグネシウムと、
b2)アルミニウム三水和物と、
b3)メラミンシアヌレートと、
b4)場合により、リン酸エステル難燃剤と、
を含む難燃剤混合物と、
を含む難燃性ポリマー組成物。 - 前記1つ以上の熱可塑性エラストマーは、エステル結合を介して頭尾結合された多数の繰り返される長鎖エステル単位及び短鎖エステル単位を有するコポリエーテルエステルエラストマーであり、前記長鎖エステル単位は、式(A)
Gは、約400〜約6000の数平均分子量を有するポリ(アルキレンオキシド)グリコールからの末端水酸基の除去の後に残る二価のラジカルであり、
Rは、約300未満の分子量を有するジカルボン酸からのカルボキシル基の除去の後に残る二価のラジカルであり、且つ、
Dは、約250未満の分子量を有するジオールからの水酸基の除去の後に残る二価のラジカルである、請求項1に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。 - 前記1つ以上の熱可塑性エラストマーは、(1)ポリ(テトラメチレン)オキシドグリコールと、(2)イソフタル酸、テレフタル酸、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるジカルボン酸と、(3)1,4−ブタンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるジオールと、を含むモノマーから調製されるコポリエーテルエステルエラストマーである、請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- 前記1つ以上の熱可塑性エラストマーは、(1)ポリ(トリメチレン)オキシドグリコールと、(2)イソフタル酸、テレフタル酸、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるジカルボン酸と、(3)1,4−ブタンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるジオールと、を含むモノマーから調製されるコポリエーテルエステルエラストマーである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- 前記1つ以上の熱可塑性エラストマーは、(1)エチレンオキシドキャップされたポリ(プロピレンオキシド)グリコールと、(2)イソフタル酸、テレフタル酸、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるジカルボン酸と、(3)1,4−ブタンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるジオールと、を含むモノマーから調製されるコポリエーテルエステルエラストマーである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- 難燃剤b1)〜b4)の量は、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、約20〜約50重量パーセントである、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- b1)の量は、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、30重量パーセント以下である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- b2)の量は、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、30重量パーセント以下である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- b3)の量は、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、約10〜約30重量パーセントである、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- 前記リン酸エステル難燃剤b4)の量は、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、15重量パーセント以下である、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- 前記リン酸エステル難燃剤b4)は、レゾルシノールビス(ジ−2,6−ジメチルフェニルリン酸)である、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- 前記難燃剤混合物b)は、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、大体1〜30重量パーセントの量で前記難燃性ポリマー組成物に存在する水酸化マグネシウムb1)と、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、大体1〜30重量パーセントの量で前記難燃性ポリマー組成物に存在するアルミニウム三水和物b2)と、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて、大体10〜30重量パーセントの量で前記難燃性ポリマー組成物に存在するメラミンシアヌレートb3)と、前記難燃性ポリマー組成物の総重量に基づいて大体0〜15重量パーセントの量で前記難燃性ポリマー組成物に存在するリン酸エステル難燃剤b4)と、を含む、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- ASTM E662火炎モードに従って測定される、約300以下の最大煙濃度Ds,m、及び、約300以下のVOF4を有する、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- IEC61034に従って測定される、約60%以上の最小光透過率を有する、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に列挙される難燃性ポリマー組成物を含む、成形された、押し出し成形された、又は形状化された物品、及び、繊維、又は、フィラメント。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に列挙される難燃性ポリマー組成物からなるコーティングを含む、ワイヤー、ケーブル、又は光学ケーブル。
- 絶縁ワイヤー及び/又はケーブルを作製するための、請求項1又は14のいずれか一項に記載の難燃性ポリマー組成物の使用。
