Abstract
Description
本出願は、2012年5月24日出願の米国仮出願第61/651,487号および2013年1月4日出願の米国仮出願第61/748,795号に対して優先権を主張し、これらの全体の内容は参照により本明細書に援用される。
この開示は、難燃性熱可塑性組成物、その製造方法およびそれを含む物品に関する。この開示は特に、難燃性ポリエステルおよび難燃性ポリエステルブレンドに関する。この開示は特に、難燃性ポリフェニレンエーテルおよび難燃性ポリフェニレンエーテルブレンドにも関する。
難燃性組成物におけるポリフェニレンエーテルとホスファゼン難燃剤の使用を実証するために、この実施例を行った。これらの実験で使用した難燃剤は、(株)伏見製薬所製のRabitle FP−110である。該難燃性組成物に使用した成分を表1Aと1Bに示す。表1Bの比較実施例では、難燃剤としてレゾルシノールジホスフェートを使用し、実施例(開示された本発明を包含する)では、ホスファゼン難燃剤を使用する。追加の組成物を表4A、4Bおよび4Cに示す。難燃剤がレゾルシノールジホスフェート系の対照サンプル(表1Bの比較実施例)は、リンとポリフェニレンエーテルとを、それぞれ1.9質量%と64質量%含む。(それぞれ表1B、4Aおよび4Bを参照のこと。)ポリフェニレンエーテルの質量%は、処方中のポリフェニレンエーテルと耐衝撃性ポリスチレンの合計中のパーセンテージであることに留意のこと(PPE+HIPS中のPPE%)。また、表4Cの対照サンプルは、レゾルシノールジホスフェート(RDP)の代わりに、ビスフェノールAジホスフェート(BPADP)で製造されていることにも留意のこと。表1A、4Aおよび4Cで開示したNORYL組成物はすべて、Sabic Innovative Plastics社から市販されているものである。
ポリスチレンブレンドとフェノキシホスファゼン難燃剤を含むポリフェニレンエーテル−ポリシロキサンコポリマー組成物の製造と特性を実証するために、この実施例を行った。この実施例での種々の組成物は、同じ濃度のリンを含むようにデザインした。
Claims (21)
- ポリフェニレンエーテル−ポリシロキサンコポリマー、あるいはポリフェニレンエーテル−ポリシロキサンコポリマー及びポリフェニレンエーテルを含む組み合わせと;
耐衝撃性改良剤と、
ホスファゼン難燃剤と、を含むことを特徴とする難燃性組成物。 - 前記ホスファゼン難燃剤の存在量は、前記難燃性組成物の合計質量に対して、約1〜約20質量%である請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ホスファゼン難燃剤は、下式(11)の構造を有する請求項1または2に記載の組成物:
- 前記ホスファゼン難燃剤は、フェノキシシクロトリホスファゼン、オクタフェノキシシクロテトラホスファゼン、デカフェノキシシクロペンタホスファゼンあるいはこれらのホスファゼン化合物の少なくとも1つを含む組み合わせである請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 前記ホスファゼン難燃剤は、式(12)の構造を有する請求項1または2に記載の組成物:
- 前記ホスファゼン難燃剤は、架橋フェノキシホスファゼンである請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- さらに滴下防止剤を含む請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の難燃性は、UL−94プロトコルに準拠して測定して、厚さ1.5mm以下においてV−0である請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の難燃性は、UL−94プロトコルに準拠して測定して、厚さ0.4mm以下においてV−0である請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の難燃性は、UL−94プロトコルに準拠して測定して、厚さ0.8mm以下においてV−0である請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の難燃性は、UL−94プロトコルに準拠して測定して、厚さ1.2mm以下においてV−0である請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の難燃性は、UL−94プロトコルに準拠して測定して、厚さ3.0mm以下においてV−0である請求項1乃至11のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物は、前記ホスファゼン難燃剤以外の難燃剤を含まない請求項1乃至12のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記難燃性組成物は、その合計質量に対して、約3〜約30質量%の耐衝撃性改良剤を含む請求項1乃至13のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記難燃性組成物は、その合計質量に対して、10〜40質量%のポリスチレンをさらに含む請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物の難燃性は、UL−94に準拠して測定して、厚さ約3.0mm以下においてV−0であり、ノッチ付アイゾッド衝撃強度は、ISO180/1Aに準拠して測定して、約22kJ/m2以上である請求項1乃至15のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリフェニレンエーテル−ポリシロキサンコポリマーの存在量は、前記難燃性組成物の合計量に対して、40〜70質量%である請求項1乃至16のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- ポリフェニレンエーテル−ポリシロキサンコポリマー、あるいはポリフェニレンエーテル−ポリシロキサンコポリマー及びポリフェニレンエーテルを含む組み合わせと;耐衝撃性改良剤と;フェノキシホスファゼン難燃剤と、を混合するステップを備えることを特徴とする方法。
- 滴下防止剤を混合するステップをさらに備える請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記難燃性組成物を成形するステップをさらに備える請求項18に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物から製造されることを特徴とする物品。
