Abstract
【解決手段】ケナフ繊維を含有した生分解性樹脂組成物であって、ケナフ繊維の含有量
を10〜50質量%とすることにより、上記課題を解決した。このとき、生分解性樹脂が結晶性を有する熱可塑性樹脂であることが好ましく、特にポリ乳酸であることが好ましい。また、ケナフ繊維の平均繊維長(破砕片を除く繊維の数平均繊維長)が100μm〜20mmであることが好ましく、また、ケナフ繊維が300μm〜20mmの繊維長のケナフ繊維を含むことが好ましい。ケナフ繊維としては、ケナフの靭皮部から調製した繊維であることが好ましい。

Description
次に、具体的な実施例を用いて本実施の形態の動作を説明する。
ケナフ繊維として靱皮繊維(靱皮のみから作製したケナフ繊維)を用い、そのケナフ繊維は、平均繊維長(破砕片(長手方向の長さが50μmに満たないもの)を除く繊維の数平均繊維長)が3〜5mmであった。なお、図1は本実施例で使用した靱皮繊維(靱皮のみから作製したケナフ繊維)の顕微鏡写真であり、図2は同じ靱皮繊維の倍率の異なる顕微鏡写真である。
実施例1において、靱皮繊維とポリ乳酸の比率を、靱皮繊維/ポリ乳酸=15/85、20/80、30/70(それぞれ質量比)とし、それ以外は実施例1と同様とした。靱皮繊維のポリ乳酸への補強効果を実施例1と同じ方法で評価し、その結果を表1に示した。
実施例1において、靱皮繊維を用いる代わりに、靭皮部と木質部から作製した全茎繊維を用いた。それ以外は実施例1と同様とし、その結果を表1に示した。
実施例1において、靱皮繊維を用いる代わりに、ケナフ繊維と同じ軟質繊維である亜麻繊維を用いた。それ以外は実施例1と同様とし、その結果を表1に示した。表1に示すように、亜麻繊維を15質量%含有したものは、靱皮繊維を10質量%含有したものと同程度の補強効果しか得られないことが判明した。この理由は、亜麻繊維の強度がケナフ繊維に劣ることに起因していると推定される。
比較例2は、実施例1において、ケナフ繊維とポリ乳酸の比率をケナフ繊維/ポリ乳酸=5/95(質量比)とした場合であり、それ以外は実施例1と同様とし、その結果を表1に示した。表1に示すように、靱皮繊維の含有量が5質量%以下の場合、補強効果がほとんど得られないこと、および、靱皮繊維含有量が5質量%と10質量%の間で曲げ弾性率が著しく向上することが分かった。
実施例1において、ケナフ繊維とポリ乳酸の比率をケナフ繊維/ポリ乳酸=15/85(質量比)とし、さらに、タルクをケナフ繊維とポリ乳酸95質量%に対して5質量%併用させたペレットを、実施例1と同じ方法で作製した。得られたペレットを、100℃で5時間乾燥した後、射出成形機(東芝機械製、EC20P−0.4A、成形温度:180℃、金型温度:100℃)を用いて、試験片(125×13×3.2mm)を成形した。その結果、結晶核剤を併用することで、高温の金型温度での成形性を改良できることが判明した。
破砕片を除去した靭皮繊維(数平均繊維長3〜5mm、以下靭皮繊維2)、平均繊維長が5mmの靭皮繊維(以下靭皮繊維3)、柔軟成分(大日本インキ製PD−150)、ポリ乳酸(島津製作所製、ラクティ9030)をそれぞれ100℃で5時間乾燥した後、表2に示す配合で混練機(栗本鐵工所製S1ニーダー、混練温度:180℃)で溶融混合し、ペレットを得た。得られたペレットを100℃で5時間乾燥した後、射出成形機(東芝機械製、EC20P−0.4A、成形温度:180℃、金型温度:25℃)を用いて、試験片(125×13×3.2mm)を成形した。得られた試験片を100℃の恒温室の中で4時間放置した後、室温まで戻し、ノッチ付きアイゾット衝撃強度を測定した。表2の実施例7に示すように、柔軟成分を使用することで耐衝撃性が向上した。また実施例8、9に示すように、破砕片を除去することでも耐衝撃性が向上した。
100℃で5時間乾燥した靱皮繊維(実施例1と同等品)を用い、クロロホルム(ケナフに対して重量比で約10倍)中で、トルエンジイソシアネートを添加(ケナフに対して重量比で1/10)、所定時間(8時間)混合した後、クロロホルムを除去することで、表面処理ケナフ繊維を得た。
Claims (8)
- ケナフ繊維を含有した生分解性樹脂組成物であって、前記ケナフ繊維の含有量が10〜50質量%であり、
前記生分解性樹脂がポリ乳酸であるケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。 - 前記ケナフ繊維の含有量が15〜50質量%である請求項1に記載のケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。
- 前記ケナフ繊維の含有量が15〜30質量%である請求項2に記載のケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。
- 前記ポリ乳酸樹脂組成物は、柔軟成分を含有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。
- 前記ケナフ繊維は、前記ケナフ繊維であって長手方向の長さが50μmに満たないものである破砕片が除去されたものである請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。
- 前記ケナフ繊維の平均繊維長(破砕片を除く繊維の数平均繊維長)が100μm〜20mmである請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。
- 前記ケナフ繊維が300μm〜20mmの繊維長のケナフ繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。
- 前記ケナフ繊維が、ケナフの靭皮部から調製した繊維であることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載のケナフ繊維強化樹脂組成物。
