Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明は、充電端子を備える充電台と、前記充電台の所定位置に設けられ、互いに異なるコードと強さの信号を発する複数の送信部とを含む外部充電装置、及び、充電バッテリーと、前記充電端子と接続して前記充電バッテリーに電源を供給する連結端子と、前記複数の送信部からの信号を受信する受信部と、前記受信部で感知した信号を用いて、前記連結端子が前記充電端子に接続されるように走行を制御する制御部とを有するロボット掃除機を含む。

Description
ロボット掃除機100が送信部210の長距離送信部212からの赤外線信号の発信範囲A1、A2に接近すれば、受信部170はこれを受信し(S13)、制御部140はロボット掃除機100を外部充電装置200の充電台220の方に接近するようにするが、その方法は、ロボット掃除機100の受信部170が充電台220を正面に向けるように回転させた後、直進走行させる(S14)。

Claims (11)
- 充電端子を備える充電台と、前記充電台の所定位置に設けられ、互いに異なるコードと強さの信号を発する複数の送信部とを含む外部充電装置と、
充電バッテリーと、前記充電端子と接続して前記充電バッテリーに電源を供給する連結端子と、前記複数の送信部からの信号を受信する受信部と、前記受信部で感知した信号を用いて、前記連結端子が前記充電端子に接続されるように走行を制御する制御部とを有するロボット掃除機を含むことを特徴とするロボット掃除機システム。 - 前記複数の送信部は、同じコードを有する1つ以上の長距離送信部と、前記長距離送信部と異なるコードを有し、前記長距離送信よりも強さが小の信号を発する短距離送信部とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のロボット掃除機システム。
- 前記長距離送信部は前記充電台の両側に各々1つずつ設けられ、前記短距離送信部は前記両側の長距離送信部の略中間地点に設けられることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のロボット掃除機システム。
- 前記長距離送信部及び前記短距離送信部は一列に配置されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のロボット掃除機システム。
- 前記長距離送信部及び前記短距離送信部は、各々異なる方向の異なる発信角度範囲に信号を発し、前記短距離送信部からの信号の発信角度範囲は、前記長距離送信部からの信号の発信角度範囲よりも小であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のロボット掃除機システム。
- 前記送信部は、前記充電台の所定位置に設けられ、前記短距離送信部からの信号と異なるコードを有し、強さがより小であり、発信角度範囲がより小である信号を発するドッキング誘導送信部をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のロボット掃除機システム。
- 前記ドッキング誘導送信部は、前記短距離送信部と所定距離だけ離隔するように上下に配置されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のロボット掃除機システム。
- 前記複数の送信部は赤外線発光素子であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れか一項に記載のロボット掃除機システム。
- 前記ロボット掃除機の連結端子が充電台の充電端子に接続できるように、前記ロボット掃除機を前記外部充電装置に移動させるロボット掃除機の外部充電装置復帰方法において、
前記ロボット掃除機が一定領域を移動しながら、ユーザにより指示された作業を進行中に、充電命令信号を受信する段階、
充電命令信号を受信後、互いに異なるコード及び強さを持つ赤外線信号を受信すると、その赤外線信号に含まれた互いに異なるコードを分析して、前記ロボット掃除機を前記充電台に接近させる接近段階と、
前記充電台に所定距離だけ接近すると、前記ロボット掃除機の連結端子を前記充電台の充電端子に接続する接続段階を含むことを特徴とするロボット掃除機の外部充電装置復帰方法。 - 前記接近段階は、
前記赤外線信号を受信して、前記ロボット掃除機が前記充電台の正面から直進走行する段階、
前記ロボット掃除機が直進走行中に、前記赤外線信号を受信しないと、左側又は右側に90°回転して、前記赤外線信号を受信するまで所定距離だけ直進走行する段階、
前記赤外線信号を受信すると、ロボット掃除機の本体が前記充電台の正面に向けるように90°回転して直進走行する段階と、
前記ロボット掃除機が直進走行中に、既に受信した赤外線信号と異なるコードを持つ赤外線信号を受信すると、前記ロボット掃除機が前記充電台に対して斜め走行する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のロボット掃除機の外部充電装置復帰方法。 - 前記接続段階は、前記ロボット掃除機が斜め走行中に、前記異なるコード及びまた他のコードを持つ赤外線信号を受信すると、前記ロボット掃除機が前記充電台の正面から直進走行して、前記ロボット掃除機の連結端子を前記充電台の充電端子に接続することを特徴とする請求項10に記載のロボット掃除機の外部充電装置復帰方法。
