Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 式I; R1-X1-MG1-G-MG2-X2-R2 I (式中、 R1及びR2は、互いに独立して、炭素原子25個までを有する直鎖及び分枝鎖状アル キル基であって、ハロゲン又はCNにより単置換又は多置換されていてもよく、隣 接しないCH2基1又は2以上は、酸素原子が互いに直接結合しないという条件で、 それぞれの場合互いに独立して-O-、-S-、-NH-、-N(CH3)-、-CO-、-COO-、-OCO- 、-OCO-O-、-S-CO-、-CO-S-又は-C≡C-でもよく、 X1及びX2は、互いに独立して、-O-、-S-、-CO-、-COO-、-OCO-、-OCO-O-、-S-CO -、-CO-S-又は単結合であり、 Gは、以下のカイラル二価構造要素; であり、そして MG1及びMG2は、それぞれ独立して、式II; -(A1-Z)m-A2- II (Zは、-COO-、-OCO-、-CH2CH2-、-OCH2-、-CH2O-、-CH=CH-、-CH=CH-COO-、-OC O-CH=CH-、-C≡C-又は単結合を表す) のメソゲン基又はメソゲン性支持基であり、 A1及びA2は、それぞれ独立して、CH基1又は2以上がNにより置換されていてもよ い1,4-フェニレン基、隣接しないCH2基1又は2がO及び/又はSにより置換されて いてもよい1,4-シクロヘキシレン、1,4-シクロヘキセニレン、1,4-ビシクロ(2,2 ,2)オクチレン、ピペリジン-1,4-ジイル、ナフタレン-2,6-ジイル、デカヒドロ ナフタレン-2,6-ジイル、又は1,2,3,4-テトラヒドロナフタレン-2,6-ジイルであ って、これらの基全ては、未置換か、ハロゲン、シアノ又はニトロ基、又はH原 子1又は2以上がF又はClにより置換されていてもよい炭素原子1個から7個を有す るアルキル、アルコキシ又はアルカノイル基で単置換又は多置換されていてもよ く、そして mは、0、1、2又は3である) のカイラルドーパント。 2. MG1とMG2が以下の式; (Lは、それぞれの場合、互いに独立して、ハロゲン、シアノ基又はニトロ基で あるか、又は基中H原子1又は2以上がF又はClで置換されていてもよい、炭素原子 1個から7個を有するアルキル、アルコキシ又はアルカノイル基を意味し、そして rは0、1又は2である) から選択される、請求項1に記載のカイラルドーパント。 3. rが0であり、そしてR1とR2が、それぞれ独立して炭素原子1個から10個を有 するアルキル又はアルコキシである、請求項2に記載のカイラルドーパント。 4. 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のカイラルドーパントを少なくとも1つ含有す る液晶材料。 5. 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のカイラルドーパントを少なくとも1つと重合 性官能基を少なくとも1つ有する重合性メソゲン化合物を少なくとも1つ含有する 、液晶材料。 6. 請求項1〜3に記載のカイラルドーパント少なくとも1つを0.001重量%から15 重量%含有する、請求項4又は5に記載の液晶材料。 7. アクティブ及びパッシブ光学素子、カラーフィルターのため、例えばSTN、T N、AMD-TN、温度補償、ゲスト−ホスト又は相転移ディスプレイ、又はポリマー フリー又はポリマー安定化コレステリックテクスチャー(PFCT、PSCT)ディスプレ イのような液晶ディスプレイのために、カイラル液晶相を有するポリマー膜の調 製するための、請求項4〜6のいずれかに記載の液晶材料の使用。 8. 請求項4〜6のいずれかに記載の液晶材料を含有する、液晶ディスプレイ。 9. 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のカイラルドーパントを少なくとも1つ含有す る、カイラル液晶相を有するポリマー膜。 10.請求項5又は6に記載の液晶材料を(共)重合することにより得ることができる 、カイラル液晶相を有するポリマー膜。
