- FIG. 22 shows further options for exchanging the Waste toner container shown without interrupting printing must become.
- Essential for the uninterrupted print Changing the waste toner container is that the level sensor 120 gives a full signal to a state if there is still sufficient space for toner and still Sufficient time remains to take steps for the exchange of the Waste toner container 84 to make.
- the control must immediately stop printing to avoid overfilling the waste toner container 84 and to prevent a possible toner jam.
- the remaining one Time can be set based on printed pages, or it can set the time depending on the amount of waste toner become.
- the amount of waste toner results from the transfer efficiency, and can e.g. based on the printed Pixels in connection with the transfer efficiency and the Pressure contrast can be determined precisely by the control. At this variant is the time until the exchange is completed maximum of the waste toner container.
- waste toner arrives via an adapter tube 136 in the waste toner container 84.
- the conveyor 132 is driven by a drive 134. If now between this drive 134 and the conveyor 132 a controllable clutch is inserted, the conveyor 132 can be replaced of the waste toner container 84 stand still. The while The waste toner that has to be replaced then remains in the delivery channel of sponsor 132.
