Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for thermal and / or acoustic insulation of buildings, in particular building roofs and external walls, by introducing sheets or sheets of mineral wool, in particular rock wool, into a distance between abutments, such as rafters, on one side of the sheets or sheets of film are glued or laminated as a vapor barrier and the free longitudinal edge strips of which are folded over one or more times inwards, so that at least one longitudinal edge of the sheets or plates protrudes outward beyond the folded edge strips of the vapor barrier in question, the sheets each in a roll or the plates are formed into packaging units in a stacked package, and in order to adapt to any existing distance between two abutments minus a small excess width, part of the projection of the longitudinal edge, the width of which is at least as wide as the greatest difference between different distances the abutment has been selected, is separated.
- a technique of the aforementioned type which corresponds to the preamble of claim 1 is essentially known from DE-PS-31 36 935.
- the sheet or plate When inserted between two abutments, the sheet or plate can be deformed in a certain area by pressure on the side edges so that it holds itself clamped due to the elasticity and compressive strength. In the case of different distances between the abutments, compensation can take place in a certain small area in this way. Trimming the side edges of the web or plates is not provided in this prior art.
- the glued or laminated vapor barrier is folded one or more times on the free longitudinal edges. The sole purpose of this is that the compression of the web or plates for insertion between the abutments is not hindered by the vapor barrier, in comparison to a further prior art, in which the vapor barrier is glued over the entire surface and protrudes on both side edges.
- a kraft paper film is glued to these protruding side edges, which surrounds the two side edges of the sheet or plate and the rear side away from the vapor barrier. Compression is prevented here by the kraft paper. In addition, waves or wrinkles would then result in the vapor barrier.
- an insulating body is known from DE-OS-22 16 371, which consists of a continuous elastic mat formed from bonded fibers and provided with longitudinal edges.
- a cover layer is applied to the hat by means of an adhesive, which is either folded inwards at the edge or reinforced by an edge strip, which prevents the cover layer from sticking in the area of the edge strip of the mat.
- the edge strip is cut off at the factory, but is then rolled up together with the mat to protect the edge strip of the cover layer projecting laterally beyond the mat. After being transported to the construction site, the roll is rolled out to a flat track. The sidebar can then be removed.
- the width of the skirting can be selected differently in the factory, but adapting the mat to different distances between the rafters on the construction site is only possible with great difficulty.
- EP-PS-0 067 088 A further state of the art is known from EP-PS-0 067 088, namely here again an insulating material sheet with a glued-on lamination is provided, which protrudes on the long sides with edge strips over the insulating material sheet.
- the edge strips can have different widths on the two longitudinal edges, so that you can choose between adapting the insulation sheet to different installation dimensions can decrease.
- a plate-shaped thermal insulation element is provided with a vapor barrier film made of metal, which is glued over the entire surface so that the insulation ribs present on both long sides are not glued together.
- the insulation ribs can be broken off individually to adapt to different installation widths.
- the vapor barrier film protrudes at the edges and can be reinforced with needle-tight roofing strips.
- the side overlaps can also be equipped with self-adhesive so that the self-adhesive layers serve for needle-free assembly until the counter battens are applied.
- the production of the numerous insulation ribs on the edges is cumbersome and labor intensive. Since the insulation ribs are not glued, handling on site and during installation is also unsafe.
- the invention is based on the object of providing a method for heat and / or sound insulation of buildings which allows the webs or panels to be easily adapted to the most varied installation widths and facilitates both the preceding manufacture and handling during installation.
- the object is achieved according to the invention in that the packaging unit is encased in a shrink film made of plastic and the part of the protrusion is separated by a single knife or saw cut is carried out by the entire packaging unit in the form of the roll or the stack of plates and at the same time the shrink film is cut, and that the packaging unit is then rolled out into a flat sheet or disassembled into individual plates and further processed.
- Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a packaging unit 1, which consists of three stacked plates 2, 3, 4 made of mineral wool, in particular rock wool. For the sake of simplicity, three plates are now shown. Exist in practice such packaging units from a much larger number of plates.
- Each plate is provided on one side, in the present embodiment on the top, with a vapor barrier 5, 6, 7, specifically the vapor barrier is glued or laminated in the form of a film.
- Each vapor barrier 5, 6 and 7 advantageously consists of aluminum and kraft paper foils glued together. Instead, the vapor barrier can also advantageously consist of aluminum and scrim plastic foils glued together.
- the free, non-glued or laminated longitudinal edge strips 8 and 9 of the vapor barrier are, as will be explained in more detail below, one or more times folded inwards, so that at least one longitudinal edge of the plates outwards over the respective folded longitudinal edge strips 8, 9 of the vapor barrier survives.
- the two protrusions are designated by the reference numerals 10 and 11.
- the entire packaging unit 1 is covered by a film, preferably a shrink film made of plastic, so that above all the protrusions 10, 11 on both sides of the plates are protected during storage and transport.
- the film can also encompass the all-round edges of the front and rear end faces of the packaging unit 1, as a result of which the edge protection is further increased, while the middle surface parts of the end faces can remain open.
- FIG. 2 and 3 illustrate other exemplary embodiments of a packaging unit 1, namely the packaging unit consists of a single flexible web 12, again of mineral wool, in particular rock wool, which is wound up into a roll.
- a vapor barrier 13 is again glued or laminated, the longitudinal edge strips 14 and 15 of which are folded over one or more times inwards, so that projections 16, 17 again correspond to the above explanations for FIG. 1 arise.
- the packaging unit 1 is encased in the form of a roll by a film 18, preferably a shrink film (FIG. 3).
- FIG. 4 shows, for the sake of simplicity and for better clarity, an end face of only a single plate 4, representative of the entire package of a plate stack or the packaging unit 1 according to FIG. 1.
- FIG. 4 must therefore be correctly regarded as a plate stack.
- the same also applies to the further exemplary embodiments according to FIG. 5 and FIG. 10.
- the width 19 of the plate 4 and, as explained, of the entire plate stack of the packaging unit is dimensioned such that it is equal to or greater than the greatest clear width 40 between two abutments 27 and 28, for example between two rafters. This can be seen from Figure 6.
- the vapor barrier 5 is only glued or laminated in the central longitudinal region of the plate 4, perpendicular to the image plane, and symmetrically to the longitudinal direction of the plate, specifically over the width 22. In this way, overhangs 10 and 11 of the same width are produced on both sides.
- the two longitudinal edge strips 8 and 9 are only folded over inwards. The width of these strips is selected so that they protrude outward beyond the projections 10 and 11 at least in part after the unfolding.
- the width of the overhang 10 or 11 or both overhangs taken together is at least as wide as the greatest difference between different distances between the abutments 27, 28 (FIG. 6).
- the packaging units 1 are 19 in a uniform width delivered to the construction site.
- the craftsman now measures the clear width 40 between two abutments 27 and 28. If it is, for example, the thermal insulation of building roofs, the clear width between the rafters can be so different that the panels or sheets are no longer just by simple side compression can be introduced.
- the invention offers the essential advantage that by a single cut through one or the other overhang or possibly through both overhangs, namely through the entire packaging unit, the desired width for all plates of the packaging unit or for the entire web, which as a packaging unit in Form of a roll is present, the desired installation width can be achieved. This results in a significant reduction in workload and, above all, an exact cut.
- FIG. 4 it is shown that a part 20 and / or 21 of the protrusion can be separated directly from the packaging unit 1 in adaptation to any existing distance 40, ie to each mounting width between two abutments.
- the packaging unit is disassembled into individual plate parts or the packaging unit in roll form is rolled out, so that the individual plates or the web are then inserted in the finished width between the abutments can.
- Figure 5 illustrates an embodiment to which the above explanations for Figure 4 apply mutatis mutandis, but here the vapor barrier 5 is glued or laminated asymmetrically to the web or plate longitudinal direction.
- the left protrusion 10 is very wide, while the right protrusion 24 is very narrow and can possibly be omitted completely.
- the width 23 of the part of the protrusion which can be cut off from the packaging unit 1 with one cut.
- the longitudinal edge strips 25 and 26 are also of different widths, as shown in FIG. 5, namely the strip 25 is considerably wider than the strip 26.
- An advantageous embodiment is that with an asymmetrically glued or laminated vapor barrier 5 the longitudinal edge strip 26 is folded once and the longitudinal edge strip 25 is folded two or more times.
- the width of the partially detachable projection 20 and / or 21 or 23 is at least 100 mm.
- Figure 6 shows a plate 4 after disassembling the commonly trimmed packaging unit in the installed state between two abutments 27, 28.
- the longitudinal edge strips 25 and 26 of the vapor barrier 5 are folded outwards in the direction of arrows 29 and 30 and attached to the abutments in a conventional manner, for example by means of clips on the rafters.
- the respective panels 4 or sheets are introduced from the underside. The drawing would then result in the picture that the vapor barrier 5 rests on the underside of the abutments 27, 28.
- the plate 4 or the web is then also aligned with the undersides of the abutments.
- a gap for ventilation of at least 2 cm depth is then on the outside of the plate or sheet.
- the packaging units 1 are advantageously covered with a shrink film 18 (FIG. 3).
- this shrink film is cut simultaneously with the separation of the described part 20 or 21 or 23 of the respective overhang 10 or 11. This has the advantage that the packaging unit is held together during the cutting together.
