Das Ausgangsmaterial für das Ziehen der Fasern kann mittels eines beliebigen Verfahrens in das elektrostatische
Feld überführt werden. Dies kann z. B. geschehen,
indem man «as Ausgangsmaterial an eine geeignete Stelle im elektrostatischen Feld bringt, wobei man es zu
einer Düse zuspeist, von der es durch das elektrostatische Feld abgezogen wird und wobei die Fasern gezogen
werden. Für diesen Zweck kann jede geeignete Einrichtung verwendet werden. So kann das Ausgangsmaterial
z.B. vom Füllraum einer Injektionsspritze zur Spritze der geerdeten Injektionsnadel, die sich in geeigneter
Entfernung von einer elektrostatischen Fläche befindet, gedruckt werden. Beim Ausströmen aus der Injektionsnadel
werden zwischen der Spitze der Injektionsnadel und der aufgeladenen Fläche die Fasern gezogen.
Tropfen des Ausgangsmaterials für das Ziehen der Fasern können auch auf andere Weise in das elektrostatische
Feld gebracht werden, wobei nur darauf zu achten ist, daß sie im Feld in einem gewissen Abstand von
der aufgeladenen Oberfläche gehalten werden, so daß es zur Faserbildung kommt So kann das Ausgangsmaterial
zum Beispiel auf einem kontinuierlichen Träger, wie einem Metalldraht in das elektrostatische Feld gebracht
werden.
Sofern eine Flüssigkeit durch eine Düse in das elektrostatische Feld eingedüst wird, können natürlich zur
Erhöhung der bei der Faserherstellung erzielten Ausbeute auch mehrere Düsen verwendet werden. Andererseits
können auch Vorrichtungen, wie perforierte Platten, denen durch ein Leitungssystem die Ausgangsflüssigkeit
zugespeist wird, zum Überführen dieser Flüssigkeit in das elektrostatische Feld eingesetzt werden.
Bei einem Verfahren zum Sammeln der Fasern kann die elektrostatisch aufgeladene Oberfläche aus den Seiten
eines rotierenden Rohres bestehen, das koaxial zur Düse und in geeigneter Entfernung von ihr angeordnet
ist Die Ablagerung der Fasern und die Herstellung der Blutgefäßprothese können auch mitteln eines zylindrischen
Formers durchgeführt werden. Der Former kann aus einer Vielzahl von Materialien hergestellt werden.
Vorzugsweise wird ein metallischer Former verwendet der insbesondere aus Aluminium besteht Das hergestellte
Rohr kann vom Former mittels vieler Verfahren abgezogen werden. Insbesondere wird ei.i hergestelltes
Polyurethanrohr von einem Aluminiumformer abgeschält, während man ein Polytetrafluoräthylenrohr
durch Lösen eines Aluminiumformers in einer Natriumhydroxidlösung herstellt Um das Abschälen des Polyurethanrohres
vom Aluminiumformer zu erleichtern, wird dieser einfach mit einer Schicht aus elastischem Polyurethanschaum
beschichtet
Das angelegte elektrostatische Potential beträgt üblicherweise 5 bis 1000 kV, vorzugsweise von 10 bis
100 kV und insbesondere von 10 bis 50 kV. Das erforderliche elektrostatische Potential kann auf jede geeignete
Weise erzeugt werden. Neben der Verwendung eines herkömmlichen Van-de-Graaff-Generators können
auch andere handelsübliche und bekanntermaßen bequemere Vorrichtungen zur Erzeugung des erforderlichen
Potentials eingesetzt werden.
Zur Erzielung großer Produktionsgeschwindigkeiten muß das Härten der Fasern sehr schnell durchgeführt
werden, was durch Verwendung konzentrierter Ausgangsmaterialien für das Ziehen der Fasern (so daß eine
möglichst geringe Flüssigkeitsmenge entfernt werden muß), von leicht flüchtigen Lösungsmitteln (z. B. kann

organischen Flüssigkeiten bestehen) und durch Anwendung von verhältnismäßig hohen Temperaturen
in der Nähe des Faserbildungsgebietes erreicht wird. Die Verwendung eines gasförmigen, üblicherweise aus
is Luft bestehenden Gebläsestroms und insbesondere eines
warmen Gasstroms führt häufig zu einer Beschleunigung des Aushärtens der Fasern. Ein genaues Ausrichten
des Luftstroms kann auch zur Ablagerung der Fasern in der erwünschten Lage oder Richtung verwendet
werden. Bei Anwendung der in den Beispielen beschriebenen Bedingungen sind jedoch zur Sicherstellung einer
ausreichend raschen Aushärtung der Fasern keine zusätzlichen Vorkehrungen erforderlich. Es wurde gefunden,
daß während der Bildung der Fasern und während
ihrer Überführung von der Düse zum Band ein ausreichendes
Aushärten (im beschriebenen Fall ein Dehydratisieren) schon bei Raumtemperatur stattfindet ohne
daß die Anwendung zusätzlicher, das Aushärten fördernder Hilfsmaßnahmen erforderlich ist
Sofern die Fasern aus einer Dispersion gezogen werden,
verwendet man Ausgangsdispersionen mit einer Größe der dispergierten Teilchen von 0,01 bis 1 μπι und
vorzugsweise von 0,1 bis 03 μητ.
Wegen der großen Oberfläche der Blutgefäßprothese ist es erforderlich, eine Reihe aktiver Teilchen zu immobilisieren, so daß sie dadurch gezwungen werden, an der Stelle zu wirken, auf die sie aufgebracht worden sind, so daß sie nicht den ganzen Körper durchdringen.
Zu immobilisierende Teilchen sind z. B. Enzyme, Medikamente und Aktivkohle. Diese Teilchen werden gegebenenfalls zu den zu ziehenden Lösungen oder Dispersionen zugesetzt oder die hergestellten Fasermatten werden anschließend mit ihnen behandelt
Polytetrafluoräthylen und Polyester werden bei nicht benetzenden Anwendungszwecken vorzugsweise als Polymerisate eingesetzt was jedoch nicht ausschließt daß die vorgenannten Polymerisate nach Zusetzen eines benetzbaren Zusatzmittels auch bei Anwendungszwekken verwendet werden, die eine Benetzung erfordern.
Wegen der großen Oberfläche der Blutgefäßprothese ist es erforderlich, eine Reihe aktiver Teilchen zu immobilisieren, so daß sie dadurch gezwungen werden, an der Stelle zu wirken, auf die sie aufgebracht worden sind, so daß sie nicht den ganzen Körper durchdringen.
Zu immobilisierende Teilchen sind z. B. Enzyme, Medikamente und Aktivkohle. Diese Teilchen werden gegebenenfalls zu den zu ziehenden Lösungen oder Dispersionen zugesetzt oder die hergestellten Fasermatten werden anschließend mit ihnen behandelt
Polytetrafluoräthylen und Polyester werden bei nicht benetzenden Anwendungszwecken vorzugsweise als Polymerisate eingesetzt was jedoch nicht ausschließt daß die vorgenannten Polymerisate nach Zusetzen eines benetzbaren Zusatzmittels auch bei Anwendungszwekken verwendet werden, die eine Benetzung erfordern.

gegenüber den Körperflüssigkeiten vorzugsweise stabil ist und nicht zu schnell oder überhaupt nicht ausgelaugt
wird, besteht doch die Möglichkeit daß in manchen Fällen eine Reaktion oder ein Lösen des benetzbaren Zusatzmittels
mit oder in der Körperflüssigkeit nützlich bzw. wünschenswert ist Wie ohne weiteres ersichtlich,
ist es außerdem wichtig, daß die Gegenwart eines benetzbaren Additivs die Festigkeit der erfindungsgemäßen
Blutgefäßprothese nicht soweit herabsetzt daß dessen Handhabung oder Verwendung unnötig schwierig
wird oder daß die Dimensionsstabilität der hergestellten Matten in unerwünschtem Ausmaß beeinträchtigt wird.
