und als Base eine basische Zinkverbindung verwendet.

durch Kondensation, wobei R5 Alkyl mit 1 bis jo 4 C-Atomen ist und R bis R4 die angegebenen Bedeutungen
haben, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man die Kondensation in Gegenwart einer Lewissäure,
vorzugsweise der eines Metalls, und einer Base vornimmt.
Im einzelnen seien außer Wasserstoff z. B. folgende Reste genannt:
R: Äthyl, n- oder i-Propyl, n- oder i-Butyl und
vorzugsweise Methyl,
R3: Methyl, Äthyl, n- oder i-Propyl, n- oder i-Butyl, Cyclohexyl, Benzyl, Phenyläthyl, Phenyl, /J-Hydroxyäthyl,
/i-Hydroxypropyl, 5-Hydroxypropyl,
/i,)'-Dihydroxypropyl, ß-Cyanäthyl, /?-Carbomethoxy-
oder -äthoxyäthyl, Methylphenyl, Chlorphenyl oder Methoxyphenyl,
gegebenenfalls substituiertes Alkyl wie bei R3, Reste R3 außer gegebenenfalls substituiertem Phenyl,
R4: gegebenenfalls substituiertes Alkyl wie bei R3, R5: Propyl, Butyl und vorzugsweise Methyl und Äthyl.

Anionen A ' sind z.B.: Chlorid, Bromid, Sulfat, Nitrat, Methosulfat, Äthosulfat, Formiat, Acetat,
Oxalat, Toluolsulfonat, Phosphat und Tetrachlorozinkat.
Als Lewissäuren von Metallen kommen z. B. Aluminium-, Titan-, Eisen-, Zinn-, Mangan-, Kupfer-
und insbesondere Zinksalze in Betracht, wobei vorzugsweise Halogenide, vor allem Zinkchlorid, verwendet
werden. Die Verwendung anderer Salze, z. B. der Acetate, ist ebenfalls möglich. Als Lewissäure
sind weiterhin Borfluoridätherate zu nennen.

b5 den können, seien beispielsweise Amine, Metalloxide
oder -carbonate genannt. Einzelne Verbindungen sind beispielsweise: niäthanoUimin. Piperidin. Triisopropanolamin,
Triisopropylamin, Chinolin, Picolin,
Pyridin, Natriumcarbonat, Natriumcarbonat, Kaliumcarbonat,
Calciumcarbonat, Magnesiumcarbonat,
Magnesiumoxid, Aluminiumhydroxid und vorzugsweise basische Zinksalze, wie Zinkoxid, basisches
Zinkcarbonat oder auch Zinkacetat; Zinkacetat wirkt zugleich als Lewissäure und Base.
Die erfindungsgemäße Umsetzung wird zweckmäßigerweise
so durchgeführt, daß man eine Verbindung der Formel II, z. B. in alkoholischer oder glykolischer
Lösung (beispielsweisein Methanol,Äthanol, n- oder i-Propanol oder Butanol, Glykol, Diäthylenglykol,
Äthylenglykolmono-methyl-, -äthyl- oder -butyläther oder Diäthylenglykolmonomethyläther) mit
einer Lewissäure und einer Base versetzt und eine Verbindung der Formel III in Form eines Salzes,
vorzugsweise des Hydrochloride, allmählich zugibt. Die sich bildende Oxazinverbindung der Formel I
fällt als Salz während der Reaktion aus. Sie ist außerordentlich rein, entsteht in hoher Ausbeute und kann
durch einfaches Absaugen isoliert werden. Die in der Regel als Salz mit die Lewissäure enthaltendem
komplexem Anion anfallende Oxazinverbindung kann z. B. über die Base in Salze mit anderen Anionen
übergeführt werden.
Weitere Einzelheiten der Herstellung der Oxazinverbindungen der Formel 1 können den Beispielen
entnommen werden.
Von besonderer Bedeutung ist das neue Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel Ia
(Ia)
in derX1 Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen,
X2 Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit I bis 4 C-Atomen, 0-Hydroxyäthyl,
/3-ChIoräthyl, /3-Cyanäthyl oder Hydroxypropyl,
X3 Wasserstoff, Methyl oder Äthyl, X4 Wasserstoff, Methyl, Äthyl, 0-Cyanäthyl oder ß-Hydroxyäthyl
und X5 Wasserstoff, Methyl, Äthyl, Methoxy oder Äthoxy bedeutet und Αθ die angegebene Bedeutung
hat. X ist bevorzugt Wasserstoff und X3 Wasserstoff oder Methyl.
Gegenüber dem aus der deutschen Offenlegungsschrift 20 30 028 bekannten Verfahren zur Herstellung
von Oxazinfarbstoffen bietet die erfindungsgemäße Herstellungsmethode große Vorteile. Nach dem bekannten
Verfahren erhält man nur stark verunreinigte Produkte, die sich unter vertretbarem Aufwand
nicht von den Verunreinigungen befreien lassen und somit keine reproduzierbaren Färbungen liefern.
überraschenderweise bewirken die erfindungsgemäßen Maßnahmen, daß die Farbstoffe schon während
der Kondensation in reiner, leicht filtrierbarer Form ausfallen, wohingegen die Verunreinigungen in Lösung
bleiben. Nach der Isolierung und gegebenenfalls einem Austausch des Anions sind die erfindungsgemäß
hergestellten Farbstoffe direkt zum Färben verwendbar, und man erhält auf Grund der hohen Reinheit in
absolut reproduzierbarer Weise brillante blaue Färbunaen insbesondere auf anionisch modifizierten
Fasern, wie Acrylnitrilpolymerisaten und Polyestern. In den folgenden Beispielen beziehen sich Angaben
über Teile und Prozente, sofern nicht anders vermerkt, auf das Gewicht.
ίο 26 g p-Nitroso-N-diäthyl-m-phenetidin-hydrochlorid
werden in einer Stunde in eine 80° C warme Mischung von 17 g m-Diäthylaminophenol, 20 g Zinkchlorid,
4 g Zinkoxid und 100 ml Methylglykol eingetragen. Man hält noch 2 Stunden bei 80° C und
saugt dann das kristallin ausgefallene Farbsalz ab. Es wiegt 38 g und gibt auf Polyacrylnitrilfasern leuchtend
blaue Färbungen.
Unter den gleichen Reaktionsbedingungen erhält man aus 26 g p-Nitroso-N-diäthyl-m-phenetidin-hydrochlorid
und 15 g 3-Äthylamino-4-methylphenol bzw. 13 g 3-Amino-4-methylphenol 35 g bzw. 30 g
der entsprechenden Farbsalze, die leicht abgesaugt werden können und von hoher Reinheit sind.
27 g 3 - Methoxy - 4 - nitrosodiphenylammoniumchlorid werden in 2 Stunden in eine 60° C warme
Mischung von 17 g m-Diäthylaminophenol, 20 g Zinkchlorid, 2 g Magnesiumoxid und 100 ml Methylglykol
eingetragen. Nach weiteren 2 Stunden wird die 60°C warme Mischung filtriert. Die während der Reaktion
ausgefallenen Kristalle wiegen 43 g. Sie färben Polyacrylnitrilfasern leuchtend blau.
28 g 3 - Methoxy - 4 - nitrosophenyl - ο - tolylammoniumchlorid
werden langsam in eine 50° C warme Lösung von 17 g m-Diäthylaminophenol, 14 g Zinkchlorid
und 16 g Pyridin in 100 ml Isobutanol eingetragen. Die ausgefallenen Kristalle werden nach
3 Stunden abgesaugt. Sie wiegen 46 g und färben Polyacrylnitrilfasern leuchtend blau.
Ähnliche Resultate erhält man, wenn man statt Pyridin Natriumbicarbonat, Zinkacetat, Diäthanolamin
oder Triisopropylamin verwendet.
28 g 3 - Methoxy - 4 - nitrosophenyl - ρ - tolylammoniumchlorid
werden in 2 Stunden in eine 80° C warme Mischung von 15 g 3-Äthylamino-4-methylphenol,
24 g Eisen(III)-chlorid, 4 g Zinkoxid und 150 ml Äthanol eingetragen. Es kristallisieren 47 g des entsprechenden
Oxazin-Farbsalzes in hoher Reinheit aus.
Ähnliche Resultate werden erhalten, wenn an Stelle von Eisenchlorid, Zinkchlorid, Zinnchlorid oder Aiuminiumchlorid
verwendet wird.
Analog der angegebenen Arbeitsweise erhält man auch die in der folgenden Tabelle durch Angabe der
Substituenten charakterisierten Farbstoffe.

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Oxazinfarb-R3gegebenenfalls substituiertes Alkyl, Cycloalkyl oder Aralkyl, R2 Wasserstoff oder gegebenenfalls substituiertes Alkyl, R3 gegebenenfalls substituiertes Alkyl, Cycloalkyl, Aralkyl oder Phenyl, R* Wasserstoff oder gegebenenfalls substituiertes Alkyl und Αθ ein Anion bedeutet, aus Verbindungen der Formel II
