Definitions
- Non-patent Document 2 and Patent Documents 1 to 4 various techniques for producing LLZ garnet type compounds have been proposed along with efforts to improve the above properties of LLZ garnet type compounds. See).
- the LLZ-based garnet-type compound in the form of fine particles suitable for application to an all-solid lithium secondary battery, and it can be manufactured with high production efficiency. It was not a thing.
- a garnet-type compound can be produced without using an organic solvent, and since it is possible to prevent the outflow of water-soluble Li component, it is not necessary to use an excessive amount of Li source.
- Garnet-type compounds can be produced with excellent production efficiency.
- a garnet-type compound is obtained by using a precipitate formed from a solution containing a zirconium carbonate complex as a precursor, and this precipitate contains each element constituting the garnet-type compound. Is assumed to be homogeneously dispersed. Therefore, by using the precipitate, the firing temperature when producing the garnet-type compound can be made less than 1000 ° C., and as a result, the garnet-type compound can also be obtained in the form of fine particles.
- the all solid lithium secondary battery according to the present invention contains the garnet type compound, the internal resistance of the battery is suppressed due to the high lithium ion conductivity of the garnet type compound, and the battery performance such as rate characteristics is high. Moreover, since the garnet-type compound in the form of fine particles is contained in the electrode layer in the all solid lithium secondary battery, a sufficient contact interface with the electrode active material is ensured. Therefore, since the ion conduction path to the electrode active material is well constructed and the proportion of the electrode active material that cannot contribute to the battery reaction is reduced, the energy density of the all-solid lithium secondary battery is high.
- each element is highly dispersed in the precipitate, the constituent elements are thermally diffused, and the reaction in which the target product is generated can occur with less energy. For this reason, the energy required for obtaining the fired product in the second step is reduced, and a reduction in the firing temperature can be expected. As a result, grain growth during firing is suppressed, and a garnet-type compound in the form of fine particles is easily obtained.
- the solution containing the above zirconium carbonate complex has a pH of 7.0 or more and 9.5 or less.
- the pH can be adjusted by the blending ratio of various raw materials for preparing a solution of the zirconium carbonate complex and the amount of the solvent.
- the pH may be adjusted by adding a pH adjusting agent or the like.
- the element M 2 is a final first trace additive component of garnet-type compounds prepared.
- the element M 2 is an element considered to be able to substitute the Li site in the crystal structure of the garnet-type compound, and corresponds to a light element that can take oxygen 4-coordinate or 6-coordinate.
- the presence of such an element M 2 is considered to improve the stability of the crystal structure of the garnet-type compound.
- Another effect of the element M 2 is an improvement in electrical characteristics of the garnet-type compound, for example, an increase in lithium ion conductivity.
- Elements M 2 may be introduced into the crystal structure of the garnet-type compound, it may be present in the grain boundary of garnet-type compound in the form of such oxides. State of the elements M 2 in the garnet-type compound is the X-ray diffraction measurement can be confirmed by transmission electron microscope observation or the like.
- the third raw material used in the second step is a raw material containing a compound having Li as a constituent element.
- a compound having Li as a constituent element is hereinafter abbreviated as “Li source”.
- the dispersion concentration of the precipitate is preferably higher than 10 weight percent for the purpose of reducing the energy required for evaporation to dryness as much as possible.
- the dispersion concentration is more preferably 15 weight percent or more, and still more preferably 20 weight percent or more.
- the dispersion concentration of the precipitate is defined as follows. First, the virtual weight of the oxides of Zr, M 1 , M 2 and M 3 contained in the precipitate is calculated from the composition of Zr, M 1 , M 2 and M 3 in the precipitate.
- the Li source used in this mixing method is not particularly limited, and any of the Li compounds exemplified above can be used.
- the lower limit of the firing temperature is not particularly limited as long as a fired product can be obtained. For example, 550 ° C. can be set as the lower limit.
- Whether a garnet-type compound has a garnet-type structure can be determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement.
- XRD X-ray diffraction
- the garnet-type compound is a cubic LLZ-type garnet-type compound
- the XRD pattern thereof is 045-0109 (Li 5 La 3 Nb 2 O 12 , cubic, space group Ia- A similar diffraction pattern is observed in 3d).
- This diffraction pattern of 045-0109 is very similar to the XRD pattern of Li 7 La 3 Zr 2 O 12 shown in Non-Patent Document 2 described above.
- the cubic garnet-type compound is almost single phase.
- the peak intensity ratio (b / a) is 0.05 or less, it can be determined that a cubic LLZ garnet-type compound was obtained in a substantially single phase.
- the peak intensity ratio (b / a) is larger than 0.05, a considerable amount of impurity phase La 2 Zr 2 O 7 is present, and the cubic LLZ garnet-type compound is almost in a single phase. It can be judged that it was not obtained.
- the peak intensity ratio (b / a) shows substantially the same value even if the values of a and b are read as the peak height from the baseline in the XRD pattern.
- Layered rock salt type oxide such as LiMn 2 O 4
- spinel type oxide such as Li (Ni 0.5 Mn 1.5 ) O 4
- olivine type phosphoric acid such as LiFePO 4 , LiMnPO 4 , LiNiPO 4 , and LiCuPO 4 Salts
- silicates such as Li 2 FeSiO 4 and Li 2 MnSiO 4 can be used.
- the positive electrode active material the above-described materials may be used alone or in any combination of two or more.
- the positive electrode layer can be sintered in the form of integral sintering with the solid electrolyte layer.
- the integral sintering means that one of the “lithium ion conductive material constituting the solid electrolyte layer” or the “mixture of components of the positive electrode layer” is molded, and the other is molded thereon. This is a method of performing sintering after pressing.
- the negative electrode layer may be formed by the method for forming a negative electrode layer described above, but the negative electrode active material itself may be regarded alone as the negative electrode layer. .
- the negative electrode layer can be sintered in the form of integral sintering with the solid electrolyte layer.
- the integral sintering means that one of “a lithium ion conductive material constituting a solid electrolyte layer to be described later” or “a mixture of constituent components of the negative electrode layer” is first molded, and the other is molded thereon and fired. This is the way to do the tie.
- the solid electrolyte layer is a layer interposed between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, and is a layer composed of a lithium ion conductive material.
- the lithium ion conductive material contained in the solid electrolyte layer is not particularly limited as long as it has lithium ion conductivity.

Li源としては、LiNO3(実施例1~3、6)又はLi2CO3(実施例4、5)のいずれかを使用した。
