Abstract
Description
なお、中間膜としては、合わせガラスに表示手段が内蔵される観点から、高温処理(オートクレーブ)することなく合わせガラスを構成可能な、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体の中間膜を使用することが好ましい。
本発明の一態様によれば、ウインドシールドガラスの上辺部、又は下辺部の中央に内蔵された表示手段を、車両の室内後写鏡として代用できる。
本発明の一態様は、前記表示手段の大きさが縦100~150mm、横150~350mmであることが好ましい。
本発明の一態様によれば、表示手段を少なくとも2枚の中間膜の間に介在させることにより、表示手段の表面の表示面及び裏面を中間膜によって保護できる。
合わせガラス10は、同サイズの略矩形状のガラス板12と略矩形状のガラス板14とを略矩形状の中間膜16、18、20を介して接合することにより構成される。そして、合わせガラス10には、合わせガラス10の周辺部に、表示手段としての例としてフラットパネルディスプレイの一種である矩形状の有機発光ダイオード(OLED:Organic light-Emitting Diode)を用いたディスプレイ、すなわち有機エレクトロ・ルミネッセンス・ディスプレイ(Organic Electro-Luminescence Display。以下、有機ELディスプレイという。)が内蔵されている。すなわち、合わせガラス10は、ガラス板12とガラス板14との間であって、中間膜16と中間膜20の間の周辺部に有機ELディスプレイ(すなわち、表示手段)22を介在させることによって構成されている。図示した例において、ガラス板12は、車両の室内側に位置し、ガラス板14は、車両の室外側に位置するように構成されている。
中間膜16、18、20としては、通常の合わせガラスに使用されるポリビニルブチラールの中間膜(以下、PVB(Polyvinyl butylal)系中間膜という。)、又はエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体の中間膜(以下、EVA(Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate)系中間膜という。)を例示できる。
合わせガラス10によれば、有機ELディスプレイ22がガラス板12とガラス板14との間に介在されているので、有機ELディスプレイ22は、合わせガラス10の表面から突出しない。よって、合わせガラス10を自動車等の車両用のウインドシールドガラスとして使用した場合、運転手、同乗者にとって有機ELディスプレイ22は邪魔にならない。
図3は、実施形態の合わせガラス30が装着された車両用フロント窓(具体的には自動車用フロント窓)およびその周辺部を車両の室内の後方から前方に向けて見た図面であり、車両32のウインドシールドに適用された合わせガラスが示されている。また、図4は、合わせガラス30の概略正面図である。更に、図5は、図4のB-B線に沿う断面図であり、合わせガラス30を構成する各部材を離間して示した説明図である。
なお、表示手段として、有機ELディスプレイ以外の液晶ディスプレイ等のフラットパネルディスプレイを使用する場合においても、上記した寸法は同様である。

ウインドシールドガラスである合わせガラス30をその周辺で保持しているウレタンシーラント等のシール材(不図示)の紫外線による劣化を防止するために、合わせガラス30の周辺部には、所謂「黒セラ」と称される遮蔽層40が形成される。
上記実施形態では、本発明の合わせガラスを車両のウインドシールドガラスに適用した例を説明したが、これに限定されるものではない。

Claims (11)
- 車両のウインドシールドガラスとして使用される合わせガラスであって、少なくとも2枚のガラス板の間に中間膜が介在されてなる合わせガラスにおいて、
前記合わせガラスの前記少なくとも2枚のガラス板の間に少なくとも1つ以上の表示手段が介在され、
前記表示手段は、前記車両の室内側から見て前記合わせガラスの周辺部に配置されることを特徴とする合わせガラス。 - 前記表示手段は、前記合わせガラスの左右の縦辺部に配置される請求項1に記載の合わせガラス。
- 前記表示手段の大きさが、縦80~200mm、横100~150mmである請求項2に記載の合わせガラス。
- 前記表示手段は、前記合わせガラスの上辺部、又は下辺部の中央に配置される請求項1に記載の合わせガラス。
- 前記表示手段の大きさが、縦70~150mm、横150~350mmである請求項4に記載の合わせガラス
- 前記表示手段は、フラットパネルディスプレイ手段である請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の合わせガラス。
- 前記表示手段は、前記少なくとも2枚のガラス板の間に介在される少なくとも2枚の前記中間膜の間に介在される請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の合わせガラス。
- 前記表示手段は、前記合わせガラスの周辺部に備えられた遮蔽層の室内側に配置される請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の合わせガラス。
- 請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の合わせガラスと、
車両の後方を撮像する撮像手段と、
前記撮像手段によって撮像された前記車両の後方画像を、前記合わせガラスに配置された前記表示手段に表示させる画像処理手段と、
を備える車両用表示装置。 - 請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の合わせガラスと、
前記車両の後側方を撮像する撮像手段と、
前記撮像手段によって撮像された前記車両の右後側方画像を、前記表示手段のうち、前記合わせガラスの右縦辺部に配置された第1の表示手段に表示させ、前記車両の左後側方画像を、前記合わせガラスの左縦辺部に配置された第2の表示手段に表示させる画像処理手段と、
を備える請求項9に記載の車両用表示装置。 - 請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の合わせガラスと、
車両の後方を撮像する撮像手段と、
前記撮像手段によって撮像された前記車両の中央後方画像を、前記合わせガラスの上辺部の中央に配置された前記表示手段に表示させる画像処理手段と、
を備える請求項9に記載の車両用表示装置。
