Definitions
- the present invention relates to a chuck device that grips (clamps) a part and pushes a downward projection of the part into a hole of an object.
- Patent Document 1 Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 63-236400
- Patent Document 2 Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-8587
- the chuck device described in Patent Document 1 is provided with a pair of clamp claws that are opened and closed by compressed air, and urges a pusher (rod) provided between the pair of clamp claws so as to move up and down by a spring force.
- a pusher rod
- the lower end of the pusher is brought into contact with the upper surface of the part and the chuck device is lowered by a predetermined amount so that the pair of pushers are pushed up against the spring force.
- the chuck device After clamping the part with the clamp pawl, the chuck device is moved above the board, the pin of the part is aligned with the hole of the board, and the clamp pawl is released (clamp release), so that the spring force downwards The pin of the component is pushed into the hole of the board by the biased pusher.
- the chuck device described in Patent Document 2 forms a pair of clamp claws with an elastic material, clamps the parts by elastic deformation of the pair of clamp claws themselves, and vertically moves between the pair of clamp claws.
- the movable pusher is configured to be driven by an actuator (air cylinder, hydraulic cylinder, solenoid), and the pin of the component clamped by the spring force of the pair of clamp claws itself is aligned with the hole in the board. The pusher is pushed down to push the component pins into the holes in the board.
- JP 63-236400 A Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-8587
- the size of the clamp claw needs to be changed according to the size of the component.
- the problem to be solved by the present invention is to make it possible to replace the chuck device and to set the operation characteristics of both the clamping operation and the pushing operation relatively freely.
- the present invention provides a chuck device that grips a component and pushes a downward projection of the component into a hole of an object.
- the chuck device includes a clamp unit that clamps the component, and the component.
- a pusher portion that pushes a downward projecting portion into the hole of the object, and two air cylinder portions that respectively drive the clamp portion and the pusher portion, and the chuck device includes a component mounter, a component inserter, It is configured to be detachably held with respect to a mounting head provided in a moving mechanism such as an assembly machine, and to supply air pressure to the two air cylinders through an air supply path of the mounting head. It is characterized by.
- the chuck device since the chuck device is detachably held with respect to the mounting head provided in the moving mechanism, the chuck device can be freely replaced with a chuck device having a clamp portion that matches the size of the component to be clamped. Moreover, because the clamp and pusher are driven by separate air cylinders, the operating characteristics of both the clamp and push-in operations can be set relatively freely and are mounted on the two air cylinders. Since the air pressure is supplied through the air supply path of the head, the configuration of the chuck device can be prevented from becoming complicated.
- the present invention can be applied to any of a component mounter, a component inserter, an assembly machine, etc., but when applied to a component mounter, the chuck device is replaced with a suction nozzle for the mounting head of the component mounter. It is good to constitute so that it can be held. In this way, only the production that requires the chuck device is used by holding the chuck device on the mounting head of the component mounting machine, while in the production that does not require the chuck device, from the mounting head of the component mounting machine.
- the chuck device can be removed and replaced with a suction nozzle, and a common mounting head can be used efficiently between the chuck device and the suction nozzle.
- the clamp when negative pressure is supplied to the two air cylinders through the air supply path of the mounting head, the clamp is driven in the clamping direction while the pusher is waiting at the push-in release position, and positive pressure is supplied.
- the clamp portion may be driven in the clamp release direction and the pusher portion may be driven in the push-in direction. In this way, it becomes possible to control the clamp operation / release operation of the clamp unit and the push-in operation of the pusher unit by switching the same air pressure as when performing the component suction operation / release operation of the suction nozzle. Control of each operation is also easy.
- the pusher part in the state where the part is clamped by the clamp part, the pusher part is in a state of waiting upward from the part, so even if the pusher part is lowered, until the pusher part reaches the part, The pusher cannot push the projection of the part into the hole of the object. For this reason, there is a delay in the operation of pushing the component in the pusher portion.
- the part immediately after the release of the clamp is not sufficiently fitted into the hole of the object, so that the pusher part reaches the part when the push-in operation timing of the pusher part with respect to the released part is delayed. There is a possibility that the parts will fall down before.
- the air cylinder part that drives the clamp part when driving the clamp part in the clamp release direction, the clamp part is driven in the clamp release direction after the movement amount of the piston of the air cylinder part exceeds a predetermined amount. It may be configured as described above. In this way, when the clamp portion is driven in the clamp release direction, the clamp release operation start timing of the clamp portion can be delayed until the movement amount of the piston of the air cylinder portion exceeds the predetermined amount. It is possible to make the actual clamp release operation start timing of the clamp part substantially coincide with the timing when the pusher part starts pushing the part, and the pusher part pushes the protrusion of the part into the hole of the object. It is possible to prevent the parts from falling down before.
- the air cylinder part that drives the clamp part is provided with an air cushion chamber in which air is pushed out by movement of the piston in the clamp release direction of the air cylinder part, and the movement amount of the piston in the clamp release direction is provided.
- You may comprise so that the extrusion flow volume of the air in this air cushion chamber may increase as it increases.
- the speed characteristic of the clamp release operation of the clamp part can be set to a speed characteristic in which the initial speed is set slow and the speed of the clamp release operation increases as the piston moves in the clamp release direction. it can.
- the clamp part slows down and prevents the part from falling down until the pusher part reaches the part and starts to push the part. It is possible to prevent the component from falling before the pusher unit pushes the projection of the component into the hole of the object.

Abstract
