Abstract

 多孔質の隔壁で仕切られた多数の流路を有するセラミックハニカム構造体において、前記隔壁が、MgO及びSiO2を固溶したチタン酸アルミニウムの主結晶と、ガラス相とから少なくともなり、前記ガラス相が40~80質量%のSiO2及び1~20質量%のMgOを含有し、前記隔壁の断面におけるガラス相の平均寸法が30μm以下であり、前記隔壁の断面における前記チタン酸アルミニウムの主結晶及び前記ガラス相の合計面積に対する前記ガラス相の面積率が2~12%であることを特徴とするチタン酸アルミニウム質セラミックハニカム構造体及びその製造方法。
