NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, OF TROY, AND TOBIAS S. HEISTER, OF LANSINGBURG, ASSIGNORS TO NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, OF TROY, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR GLOBE HEATING-STOVES.
Specitication forming part of Design No. 9,673,dated December 19, 1876, application filed November 28, 1876. [Term of Patent 7 years.]
To alt whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, ot' the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and TOBIAS S. HEISTER, of the village of Lansingburg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Globe HeatingStoves, ot' which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying print, cnt, or eugraving of a stove having our said new design.
Une part of this invention consists ol' the design for the upper globe-section A,composed of the crcularprojecting bottom rim c, having a steeply-inclined border, b, flat surface c, and inner molding d, the smooth semiglobn lar and concave circular parts e and f, and the ovolo-like circular upper portion g, all shaped and arranged with illninination-openings in the part e, substantially as shown in the aecompanying engraving.
Another part of this invention is the design for the twin illuminating door and window frames B, consisting of the outer arch-top molding h, surrounding the body i; the pairs ot' illuminationopenings, bordered by the arch-top bead-moldings j, with the scroll-ornaments k and scalloped ornamentations along the sides; and the double-inclined cap-pieces m, with scroll-vine ornaments n thereon, all shaped and arranged together substantially as represented in the aforesaid cut.
Another part is the design for the openwork section U, consisting of the straight np- Wardly-aring lower portion o, having the sealloped ornament p along the base, the latticework q around the top and bottom, and the middle stems r, with top and bottom lateral angular projections s, in combination with the reversely-cnrved upwardly-daring top portion t, having the series of' curved parts u, forming pairs ot' kidney-shaped apertures, alternating with three-sided openings above, and all shaped and arranged together so as to appear as represented in the aforesaid print.
Another part is the design for the base-section D, the same consisting ot' the loop-work ornamentation v on the upright rounded corners w, and the raised side panels w, having the lace-work ornamentation y thereon, and the border-molding z, all shaped and arranged as shown in the accompanying cut.
What we claim as our invention isl. The design for the upper globe-section A, composed of the rim a, having tbe parts b, c, and d, the portion e, with illumination-apertures therein, the concave part f, and the ovolo portion g, all shaped and arranged together as described.
2. The design for the twin illumination door and window frames B, consisting ofthe parts h, ,j, k, l, m, and n, all shaped and arranged together, as set forth.
3. The design for the open-Work section C, consisting ot' the portion o, having the parts p, q, r, and s, and the portion t, having thc series ot' parts u, all shaped and arranged together, as shown and described.
4. The design for the base-section D1 consisting ot' the parts o, w, m, y, and z, all shaped and disposed as described and shown.
