DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,885, dated July 20, 1880.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, H. CLAY BASCOM, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and Tomas S. HEIs- TER, of Lansingburg,in said county and State, havejointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Cooking-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference be ing had to the accompanying print, out, or engraving of a cooking-stove having our said new design.

One part of our invention is the design for the compound ornamentA for the oven-doors, consisting of the griffin-like figure b, the shield 0, having the stars at and bars 0, and the base f, all shaped and disposed together as shown in the aforesaid cut.

A further part is the design for the ovendoors, consisting of the compound central ornament, A, the exterior borderornamcntations, g, and the intervening ornamental portion h, surrounding the ornament A and disposed on the panel-surface J, all shaped and arranged substantially as represented in the aforesaid print.

Another part is the design for the closetdoors K, consisting of the shield ornamentL, having the stars m and bars n on its diagonal quarters, the linear ornaments O, surrounding 0 the shield L on the panel-surface P, and the ornamental border g, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the aforesaid engravin Another part is the design for the door R,

5 consisting of the shield S, having the star t on its upper part and bars u on its lower portion, the linear ornamentations c around the shield and upon the panel-surface w, and the ornamental border a, all shaped and arranged as shown in the aforesaid print. 40

Another part is the design for the leg Y, composed of the shield 2, having a star on its upper part and bars on its lower portion, and within a circular scalloped edge border, (4, upon a convex surface, 17. with the linear up- 5 per and lower face ornamentations, j and is, and side borders, Z, all shaped and arranged as represented in the aforesaid cut.

What we claim as our invention is- 1. The design for the compound door orna 5o ment A, consisting of the parts I), c, d, c, and f, all shaped and disposed together as shown and described.

2. The design for the oven-doors,composed of the parts A, g, h, and J, all shaped and arranged as set forth.

3. The design for the closet-doors, consisting of the parts L, m, n, 0, P, and g, all shaped and arranged as described and shown.

4. The design for the door R, consisting of the parts S, t, a, n, w, and :r, all shaped and disposed as shown and described.

5. The design for the leg Y, composed of the parts 2, a, t, j, k, and I, all shaped and arranged as desoribed and shown.
