H. CLAY BASGOM AND CYRUS A. HODGES, OF TROY, N. Y., ASSIGNORS TO N. S. VEDDER PATTERN 'WORKS, BASCOM, GALBRAITH & 00., OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A PARLOR-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,489, dated December 18, 1883.
Application filed November 7,1883. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, H. CLAY BASCOM and CYRUS A. Honens, citizens of the United States, residing in the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Parlor-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying out,
IO print, or engraving, representing our said new design.
The design forthe crest-plates A consists of the lower portion, a. and upper portion b, combined, shaped, and ornamented substan- I 5 tially as shown in the aforesaid print.
The design for the vase 13 consists of the lower coneavely-curved stem part, 0, upper flaring portion (1, having a series of pointed arch apertures, and the intermediate concavely-fiaring part, e, having a series of upwardly-cnlarged apertures with angular tops, all shaped and combined substantially as shown in the aforesaid cut.
The design for the central dome-shaped cap part, 0, consists of the lower band, f, up-
per band, 9, and wider intermediate curved portion, h, having the lower series of upwardly-tapering apertures alternating with a series of upper downwardly-tapering openings, all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid engraving.
The design for the upper sliding doors, D, consists of the compound panel ornament 1', shaped and arranged upon the raised quadri- 5 lateral panel-surface substantiallyas shown in the accompanying representation.
The design for the upper front plate, E, consists of the ornamental bands k, arranged in and obliquely across the round top oblong panel, I, substantially as shown.
The design for the middle band-plate, F, consists of the oblong central tablet, m, and the rectangular end parts, having thereon the ornaments a, shaped and arranged as shown.
The design for the lower sliding doors, G, consists of the compourd vine and floral ornamentation 0, shaped and arranged upon and diagonally across the raised quadrilateral panelsurface p, substantially as shown.
The design for the lower front plate, H, consists of the ornan mtal bands q, shaped and arranged in and ooliquely across the 0blong rectangular pan :l-surface r, substantially as shown.
The design for the end door, I, consists of the compound vine and flower ornament s, shaped and arranged upon and obliquely across the round top panel-surfaee, t, having the ornamental border or, as shown.
The design for the end plate, J, consists of the arched ornamentions v and w, composed and arranged together as shown.
The design for the legs consists of the ornament a on the upper portion, y, and the on nament z on the convex lower portion, 2, all 6 5 shaped and arranged substantially as shown.

5. The design for the upper front plate, E, composed of the parts k and l, shaped and arranged together as shown and described.
6. The design for the middle band-plate, F, composed of the parts in and n, shaped and arranged as shown and described.
7. The design for the doors G, composed of the parts 0 and p, shaped and arranged as set forth.
8. The design for the lower front plate, H, consisting of the parts (1 and r, shaped and arranged as shown and described.
9. The design for the end door, I, composed of the parts s t u, shaped and arranged as described.
10. The design for the end plate, J, composed of the parts 1) w, shaped and arranged together as shown and described.
11. The design for the legs, composed of the parts a: y z 2, as shown and described.
