DESIGN FOR A CYLINDER-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,424, dated December 22, 1885.

Application filed November 16, 1885. Serial No. 183,049.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, H. CLAY BASCOM and ALEXANDER WEMYss, citizens of the United States, residing in the city of Troy, in the 5 county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Cylinder-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying engraving of a stove having said design.

This design embraces several new and distinctive parts and combinations of parts, as hereinafter specified, and shown in the aforesaid engraving.

One partis the shape and ornamentation of the vase A, consisling of its base a, body b, and the accumulated leaf and floral ornaments c on the top and opposite sides of said body, combined with the cover B, having the ornamented convex molding d and ornamented concave molding e.

The design for the front (1 embraces the curved surface f, raised quadrilateral door g, arched top ornamented panel,h, and the door 'i. 25 The design for the curved side D consists of the upper ornamented panel, j, the oval ornamented panel k, and the lower ornamented panel, I.

The design for the stove-body embraces the top E, ornamented front 0, and side D, and the ornamented base-section F, as shown.

The design for the legs consists of the body portion m, shaped as shown, and having the circular ornament n, leaves 0, and the wings 3 5 p, having the rosette ornaments q.

Term of patent 7 years.

The whole design embraces the shape and ornamentation of the vase A, cover B, top E, front 0, side D, base-section F, and the legs.

We claim as new- 1. In a design for a stove, the shape and ornamentation of the vase A and cover B, combined as shown and described.

2. In a design for a stove, the shape and ornamentation of the front G, embracing the parts f, g, h, and i, as set forth.

3. In a design for a stove. the shape and ornamentation of the curved side D, embracing the partsj, k, and l, as set forth.

4. The design for the stove-body, consisting of the cover E, front 0, side D, and the basesection F, shaped and ornamented substantially as shown and described.

5. In a design for a stove, the shape and ornamentation of the legs, consisting of the parts m n o andp q, as shown and described;

6. The whole design, embracing the vase A, cover B, top E, front 0, side D, base section F, and the legs, shaped and ornamented as set forth.
