DESIGN FOR A CANNON STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16A23, dated December 22, 1885.

Application [lied November 16, 15854 Serial No. 183.050. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I. H. CLAY BASCOM, acitizen of the United States. residing in the city of Troy. in ihe county of Rensselner and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cannon Stoves, of which thefollowing is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying engraving of a stove having said design.

This design embraces new and distinctive parts and combinations of parts, as hereinafter specified, and shown in the aforesaid engraving.

One part is the ornamentation of the door A, consisting of the circular register a, the lower rosettes b. the leaves 0, and theintermediate radial quadrant ornaments d.

Another part relates to the shape and orna mentation of the section B of the stove, the same consisting of the projecting ring 6, the upwardlycontracted and oonvexly curved portion f, having along its upper part the serrated band f, the upwardly-tapering part 9, the concave molding h. the fillet 2', having a series of semi rosettes, the convex molding j, and the top 7.

Another part is the shape and ornamentation of the legs, consisting of the upper side parts, 0, having the leaf ornaments p and meeting at an angle, and the lower portion, q, having the compound flower and leaf ornament r.

The design for the stove-body consists of the sections B and C, shaped and ornamented substantially as shown, the parts I. m. and a be inc: embraced by said latter section.

The whole design embraces the door A, sections 13 and C, and the legs, all shaped and ornmnented so as to produce substantially the appearance represented in the accompanying engraving.

I claim as new- 1. In a design for a stove, the ornamentation of the door A, consisting of the register a, rosettes b, leaves 0, and ornament d, as shown.

2. In a design for a stove, the shape and ornmnentation of the section B, embracing the parts e, f, f, g. h, i, j, and k, as set forth.

3. In a design for a stove, the shape and ornamentation of the legs, consisting of the parts 0 p and q r, as described and shown.

4:. The design for the stove-body, consisting of the portions B and 0, shaped and ornamented as set forth.

5. The whole design, embracing the door A, sections B and C, and the legs, shaped and ornamented as set forth.
