DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,919, dated May 22, 1883.
Application filed April 23, 1883. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may cancer-n Be it known that we, H. CLAY BASCOM, FRANCIS Rrrcnrn, and CYRUS A. Honons, all citizens of the United States, and residing in the city of Troy, in the county of Bennselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a. new and original Design for Heating-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying cut, print, or engraving, illustrating said new design.
The design for the vase A consists of the flask-form body portion a, with the upwardlyflaring band b and cap 0, all shaped and ar- 1 ranged together so as to present substantially the same appearance as is represented in the aforesaid print.
The design for the top B consists of its dome form, having the series of ornamentations d,
shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the'aforesaid cut. a
The design for the upper section, C, consists of the rhombic central ornaments, e, and the surrounding ornamentations f, shaped and 2 composed together so as to appear substantially as shown in the aforesaid engraving.
The design for the combustion-chamber section D is composed of the five-light doors g and solid convex panel E, shaped, ornamented,
e and disposed substantially as represented in the aforesaid on t.
The design for the panel E consists of the compound arch ornamentation h, lower angular ornaments, i, and pendent ornamentj, shaped,
3 5 composed, and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid print.
The design for the illumination section F is composed of the section D, having mica-light doors 9 and panels E, the section G, having the mica-light doors To, and the overhanging ptate or ring I, shaped, ornamented, and arranged together substantially as represented in the aforesaid engraving.
The design for the ash-pit section H consists of its smooth concavely-curved surface m, having the midway vine-ornamented hand, n, composed and arranged substantially as shown in the aforesaid out.
| The design for the base-frame I consists of the smooth surface 0, having therein the orna- 5o nients p q r s and pending ornament t, shaped and arranged substantially as represented in the accompanying engraving.
The design for the legs consists of the concavely-curved lower part, it, and the convex upper portion, 12, having the inner ornament,
w, and ornamental border ac, shaped and arranged substantially asillustrated in the aforesaid print.
We claim as ourjoint invention- 1. The design for the vase A, consisting of the parts a b c, shaped and combined as set forth.
2. The design for the top B, consisting of a smooth dome-surface having thereon the series 6 5 of ornaments d, shaped and arranged as set forth.
3. The design for the upper section, C, com.- posed of the rhombic ornaments e and surrounding ornamentations f, as described.
4. The design for the section D, composed of the parts 9 and E, shaped and ornamented as set forth.
5. The design for the panel or part-E, consisting of the ornamental parts It i j, shaped and arranged together on said part E as set forth.
6. The design for the section F, composed of the parts D, g, E, G, k, and l, shaped, ornamented, and arranged as described.
7. The design for the section H, consisting of the smooth coneavely-curved surfaeem,\vith the middle ornamental band, n, as set forth.
8. The design for the base-frame I, consisting of the parts 0 p q r s t, as described. 8 9. The design for the legs, composed of the parts it v 10 at, as described.
