H. CLAY BASOOM AND CYRUS A. HODGES, OF TROY, AND TOBIAS S. HEISTER, OF LANSINGBURG, NEW YORK, ASSIGNORS TO N. S. VEDDER PATTERN WORKS, BASOOM, GALBRAITH & (30., OF TROY, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,628, dated December 27, 1881.
Application filed November 25, 188i. Term of patent 7 years.
T all whom it may concern:
Be it known that We, H. CLAY BAsGoM and CYRUS A. HODGEs,each acitizen ofthe United States, residing in the city of Troy, in the county of Itensselaer and State of New York, and TOBIAS S. HEISTER, acitizen of the United States, residing in the village of Lansingburg, in said county and State, havejointly invented and produced a new and original Design for to Cooking-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying cut, print, or engraving of a stove having said new design.
The design for the balustrade A is not a part of this invention.
The design for the pipe B consists of the upper compound ornament, a, in combination with the lower columnar arched-top ornament, b, and angular corner ornaments, 0, each shaped and all arranged together substantially as shown in the accompanying print.
The design for the panel ornament U consists of the representation of a sailing-vessel, d, on water, e, surrounded by the ornamented scroll -arch border f, having an ornamented base,f, all shaped and arranged together so as to appear substantially as represented in the accompanying engraving.
The design for the outer portion of the panel 0 D consists of the lower triangular corner ornaments, g g, having vinelet-scrolls, in combina-,
tion with the upper vine ornaments, h h, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the aforesaid cut.
The design for the oven-door consists of the panel ornament O, composed of the parts 01 e ff, as above specified, in combination with the panel D, having the ornaments g g h h, as above described, and all dispo ed so as to pre sent substantially the same appearance as is represented in the aforesaid print.
The design for the panels E F consists ofthe central ornament, i, representing a sloop-like vessel sailing on water under an ornamented 5 scroll-arch, in combination with the lower corner ornaments, j, and vine ornament It, all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid cut.
The design for the closet-door G consists of the central panel ornament, l, composed as shown, in combination with the lateral corner ornaments, m m, and lateral vine ornaments a a, all shaped and arranged together so as to produce the appearance represented in the aforesaid engraving.
The design for the side and end plates, H, of the stove-support consists of the central ornamented arch, 0, over the ornament p, with the right and left extending vine ornaments q q and lower ornamental border, 0', all shaped and arranged substantially as represented in the aforesaid print.
The design for the corners of the stovesupport consists of the upper ornamented panel,s, and the compound leg ornament t, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the aforesaid out.
What we claim as ourjoint invention is- 1. The design for the pipe B, consisting of the compound ornaments a b c, all shaped and arranged as set forth.
2. The design for the panel ornament O, composed of the parts (1 eff, all shaped and arranged together as set forth.
3. The design for the outer portion of the panel D, consisting of the ornaments g g h 71., all shaped and arranged as set forth.
4. The design for the oven-door, consisting of the ornament O, composed as specified, in combination with the panel D, ornamented as describe l.
5. The design for the panels E F, each composed of the ornaments t'jk, all shaped and arranged together as set forth.
6. The design for the closet-door G, com- 8 posed of the ornaments l m m n n, all shaped and arranged as set forth.
7. The design for the side and end plates, H, of the stove-supporting base, consisting of the parts 0 p q q r, all shaped and arranged as set go forth.
8. The design for the corners of the stovesupport, consisting of the parts 8 t, composed and arranged as shown and described.
