DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,612, dated December 20, 1881.
Application led November 19, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.
citizen ot' the United States, residing in the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and ToBIAs S. HEIs'rER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the village of Lansing-burg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design tor a Cooking-Stove, of which the following is a specitication, reference being had to the accompanying cut, print, or engraving of a stove having said new design.
The design for the panel ornament A consists of a raised flat-faced block-form part having twenty equal, or nearly equal, straight side edges, forming tivo pairs of diametricallyopposite sharply projecting angles, a, four pairs of projecting obtuse angles, b, and four pairs of obtuse re-entering angles, c, in combination with the compound incised face ornamention d, divided by straight lines into differentlyornamented pairs of quarters, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the accompanying print.
The design for the outer portion of the panel B consists of the conveXly-curved edge portion e, arched incised ornamentfon the narrow upper portion, the inout ornaments g, g', and h on the broader lower portion, and the elongated incised ornament i on the forwardly-extended part of the panel, and all shaped and arranged substantially as shown iu the accompanying engraving.
The design for the ovendoor C consists of the panel ornamentA, composed as described, in combination with panel B,having the ornamental parls efgg' h i, and the outer mold ing,`j, all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid cut.
The design for the doors or raised panels D E consists of the outer ornamental molding, k, in combination with the raised inner panel, l, having the central ornament, m, side ornaments, n, and top and bottom ornaments, 0, all shaped and arranged together substan tially as shown in the aforesaid print.
The design for the legs consists of the top bent band,p, having the series of ornaments q, the centralornamented panel, r,theinclined side panels, s, having ornamental fillet edges and ornaments t, and the ornament u on the contracted lower part, o, all shaped and combined substantially as shown in the aforesaid cnt.
What We claim as ourjointinvention is 1. The design for the panel A, consisting of the parts a b c d, all formed, shaped, and combined as set forth.
.2. The design fr r the outer portion of the panel B, consisting of the parts efg g' h i, all shaped and arranged as set forth.
3. The design for the oven-door G, consisting of the ornament A, composed as specified, in combination with the panel B, having the ornamental parts described, and the outer molding,j, as set forth.
4. The design for the doors or raised panels .D E, composed of parts k l m u o, all shaped and arranged as set forth.
5. The design for the legs, consisting of the parts p q r s t u o, all shaped and combined as described.
