To all whom it, may concern:

Be it known that we, NIonoLAs S. Vnnnen and FRANCIS ltI'rcnIn, each of the city of Troy, in the county of lt-ensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Parlor Cooking-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying cut, print, or engraving of a stove having our said new design.

One part of this invention consists of the design for the cover A, composed of the flat top part b, ornamented convex part c, with lunate openings therein, flat part (I, concave molding e, and convex or inclined ornamented portion f, having quadrangularopenings there in, and with an outer border-molding, g, all shaped and arranged together so as to present substantially the same appearance as is represented in the aforesaid cut.

Another part consists of the design for the upper end door K, composed of the border ornamentation H, the smooth inclined quadrangular surface I, and the middle compound ornament M, having a diamond-like center and radia. transversely ribbed or grooved an gular sector a, with lobes or projections at their outer ends, all shaped and arranged so as to appear substantially as shown in the aforesaid engraving.

Another part consists of the design for the oven-door N, composed of the border ornamentation H, the inclined quadrilateral surface 0, with rounded upper corners, and the compound panel ornament P, having a diamond-like center, flanked by oval projections, and radial ribbed sections q, with convex ends and round knobs thereon, alternating with angular sections r, having threelobed projections at their outer angles, all shaped and arranged as shown in the aforesaid out.

Another part consists of the design for the upper front door S, composed of the inclined surface it, having the rhw of rectangular bordered openings therein, and the upper side longer than and parallel to the lower side, and curved ends, and the surrounding border ornamentation u, consisting of a series of separate diamood-shaped projections on a narrow raised bed, and curved segment 4 outside of the end of the said ornamental border 14, and all shaped and arranged together so as to appear as represented in the aforesaid engraving.

Another part consists of the design for the illuminating front door \V, composed of the border ornamentation II along the top and ends of the oblong rectangular frame, the diamondshapcd ornaments on the stiles be tween the mica-light apertures and the flat arches z, with horizontal ends over said ap ertures, all shaped and arranged as shown in the aforesaid cut.

Another part consists of the design for the front plate B, composed of the row of oval or naments a on each end part of the upper sec- 7 tion, the branched ornaments It in the corners of the lower section, and the curved surfaces It and m, and tablet n, with border molding p, scalloped along the inner edge, all shaped and arranged together so as to appear substantially as represented in the aforesaid engrav- 111g.

Another part consists of the design for the leg C, composed of the compound central ornament S, tapered downward, and terminated in a knob on the rounded lower end, and grooved longitudinally, and having thereon a rosette at the top, a diamondlike projection in the middle, and an oval projection at the lower part, the plain convex surface surrounded by the scalloped border to and the outer edge-moldings 10, all shaped and combined so as to appear substantially as represented in the aforesaid out.

We do not herein claim the design for the vase on the stove in the accompanying cut or print.

What we claim as ourjoint invention is 1. The design for the cover A, composed of the parts b, c, and d, molding 0, portion f, and molding 9, all shaped, ornamented, and arranged together as herein described.

2. The design for the border H, composed of the series of the diamond-shaped ornaments t, with stocks j, arranged transversely to the length of the border and pointed inward as shown and described.

3. The design for the o\'en-doorN,composed of the ornamental border 11, inclined surface 0, and compound central ornament 1, all shaped, ornamented, and arranged together as shown and described.
