DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,490, dated December 18, 1883.

Application filed November 3, 1883. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom, it may concern.:

Be it known that we, H. CLAY BAsCOM and CYEUS A. HoDGEs, citizens of the United States, residing in the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Cooking-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying eut, print,

io or engraving, representing` our said design.

The design for the side of thestove consists of the ovcndoor A and fire-box door B, shaped, ornamented, and arranged upon the plate C so as to present the appearance represented in the said print.

The design for the front of the stove consists of the tiredoor D and front plate, E, shaped, ornamented, and arranged so as to present the appearance represented in the 2o aforesaid ent.

The design for the side plate, F, of the rear extension is composed ofthe panel G, reversely-curved lower part, a, and oblique ornament D, all shaped and arranged substan- 2 5 tially as shown.

The design for the oven-door A consists of the central rhombic panel ornament, H, and the oblique ornamented band c, shaped and arranged together as shown, with or without 3o the ornamentations d.

The design for the panel ornament H consists of the rhombic border e, inelosing the central rosette ornament, f, all shaped and arranged together as shown, with or without the ornaments g.

The design for the door or panel B or G consists of the rhombic panel ornament h and oblique ornamental band z', shaped and arranged together as shown, wit-h or without 4o the ornaments j.

The design for the front door, D, consists of the row of mica light-openings c,with the intervening ornaments, l, in connection with the series of draft-apertures m and intermediate oblique ornaments, mall shaped and arranged together as shown.

The design for the front plate, E, consists of the two panels o, each having thereon the ob-` lique band ornament p and the semieircular top and bottom ornaments, q, all shaped and arranged together as sho wu.

The design for the legs consists of the coneaVely-curved lower part, r,and convex upper portion, s, having the obliquely-arranged band t, and ornamented so as to present the appearance represented in the accompanying engraving.

5. The design for the panel ornament H, composed of the parts e f, shaped and arranged as set forth and shown.

6. The design for the door or panel B or G, composed of the parts h. and i, shaped and arranged as set forth.

7. The design for the front door, D, composed of the parts la l and m n, as shown and described.
