DESIGN FOR A PARLOR-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of DesignNo. 13,920, dated May 22, 1883.
Application filed April 23, 1883.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, H. ULAY BASGOM and FRANCIS RITCHIE, citizens of the United States, residing in the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Parlor-Stoves,of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying cut, print, or engraving,
1o illustrating said new design.
The design for the top plate, A, consists of the compound scroll-form ornaments a and b, shaped and arranged together in a general quadrilateral convexlycurved form, substan- 5 tially as represented in the aforesaid print.
The design for the panel B consists of the compound ornaments, composed of vine, scroll, and leaf-like forms, all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid engraving.
The design for the panel 0 consists of the compound ornament d, composed of scroll, vine, and leaf-like forms shaped and disposed together substantially as represented in the aforesaid out.
The design for the inclined section D consists of the series of panels 0 f, having therein the scroll-form ornaments g and It, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the 0 aforesaid print.
The design for the front portion, E, consists of the two upper four-light doors, '5, two lower two-light doors, j, and intermediate band, k, all shaped, ornamented, and arranged substan- 3 5 tially as represented in the aforesaid engrav- The design for the end portion, F, consists of the upper four-light door, 1, lower two-light door, m, and intermediate band, at, shaped, or-
0 namented,andarranged togethersubstantially as illustrated in the aforesaid print.
The design for the guard G consists of the raised outer bar, 0, and inner depressed ornamented part, p, shaped and arranged together 4 5 substantially as shown in the aforesaid cut.
The design for the ash-pit front H consists of the compound viue-and-scroll ornamentation q, composed of ornamental parts, all shaped and arranged together in a rectangular panel, 1',
substantially as represented in the accompanying engraving.
The design for the ash-pit door I consists of Term of patent T years.

The design for the base-support consists of a rectangular frame, J, having the series of vine-and-leaf ornaments u and lower angular ornamental parts, r and w, all shaped and arranged so as to appear substantially as represented in the accompanying out.
That we claim as our joint invention is- The design for the top plate, A, consisting of the compound ornaments a and b, shaped and arranged together in convex form, as described.

3. The design for the panel 0, consisting of the compound ornament d, composed of parts shaped and arranged together as set forth.
4. The design for the inclined section l),coniposed of the series of panels 6], having the ornaments g and h, shaped and arranged as set forth.
5. The design for the front portion, E, consisting of the doors H and band L", shaped, ornamented, and arra nged together as described.
6. The design for the end portion, F, composed of the doors lm and band a, shaped, ornamented, and arranged together as set forth.
7. The design for the guard G, composed of the parts 0 and p, shaped and arranged together as described.
8. The design for the ash-pit front H, consisting of the compound ornament q, composed of parts shaped and arranged together on the panel r as set forth.
9. The design for the ash-pit door I, consisting of the compound ornament s, composed and arranged in the panel t as described.
10. The design for the base-support, consisting of the frame J, having the ornamental parts it v w, as set forth.
