To all whom it may concern Be it known that NICHOLAS S. VEDDEE, deceased, late of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State ot' New York, and FRANCIS RITGHIE, residing in said city, connty, and State, did, in the life-time ot' said NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, jointly inventand produce a certain new and original Design for Cooking-Stoves; and that O'IIs G. CLARK, residing,r in said city of Troy, and DANIEL D. BUGKLIN, residing;l in Lansinghurg, in said county and State, are the executors of the last will and testament of said NIoIIoLAs S. VED- DER, deceased, and we. the said O'IIS G. CLARK, DANIEL D. BUoIiLIN, and FRANCIS RI'ICHIE, do hereby declare the following,l to be a, specitication of said new design, reference beinel had by letters to the accompanying' eut, print, or engraving of a cooking-stove having said design.

One part of this invention is the design t'or the compound panel ornament A, composed of the central cruciforln ornament, b, on the ornamental surface c, having the border d, ot' ornamental outline, with the projecting corner ornaments e, the end ornaments, j', and the side ornaments, g, all shaped and combined so as to present the appearance represented in the accompanying cnt.

Another part of this invention is the design for the side doors, H I J, the same consisting of the compound ornament A on the panelsur lace lc, the series ot' outer border ornaments, l, Haring inward, the in wardlyspreading threelobed corner ornaments, m, and theinner border ornamentation, n, all shaped and arranged together, as represented in the aforesaid print.

The design for the front door, O, is composed of the projecting` lower section, p, havingI therein the t'onr rectangular damper-apertures q, with arches r in the middle of the tops, the upper section, s, having the three rectangular illumination-apertures t, with central top arches, u, the inner border-molding, e, and the series of' ontu'ardly-iiaringl erna.- ments to, all shaped I.tml arranged together as represented in the accompanying' engraving.

What is claimed as the `joint invention of the aforesaid NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, deceased, and FIIANcIs tI'roIIIE, aforesaid, is

1. The design for the compound panel orna ment A, composed ot' the parts b, c, d, c, j, and y, all shaped and arranged together as shown and described.

2. The design for the side doors, H, I, and J, consisting,l ot' the parts A, k, Il, m, Iand n, all shaped, arranged, and combined as described and shown.
