UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
NICHOLAS S. VEDDER AND FRANCIS RITCHIE, OF TROY, AND TOBIAS S. I-IEISTER, OF LANSINGBURG, NEW YORK, ASSIGNORS TO SAID VEDDER.
DESIGN FOR STOVE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,957, dated December 10, 1878 application filed November 15, 1878. [Term of patent 3% years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S.VED1)ER and FRANCIS RITCHIE, each of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and TOBIAS S. HEISTER, of Lansingburg, in said county and State, have jointlyinvented a new and original ornamental Design for Stoves, of which the followingis a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying print, cut, orengraving of a stove having our said new design.
One part of this invention is the design for the upper section, C, consisting of the panels j, each having the peculiar compound borderornamentation k, and the inner oval frame-like panel-border, I, having the corner ornaments,
m, and side ornaments, n, and inclosing the on namented oval ininel-surface 0, having therein the compound central ornament, 1), all shaped and arranged togetherso as to present substantially the same appearance as is represented in the aforesaid engraving.
Another partis the design for the oblong globular section D, consisting of the upper segments, g, each formed with four quadrilateral apertures, 1, having truncate corners and surrounded by the linear ornaments s and corner ornaments, s, in combination with the projecting band t and the peculiarly-ornamen ted open-work lower portion, t, all shaped and arranged together as shown in the aforesaid out.
Another part is the design for the lower section, E, consisting of the flat quadrilateral base-plate u, having truncate corners u, with ornaments 11 the ornamented portions 1 and o, and the parts 20, having the quadrilateral illumination-apertures m, with truncate corners and surrounding ornaments y, all shaped and arranged as represented in the aforesaid print.
What We claim as our invention is-- 1. The design for the upper section, C, consisting of the partsj k l m n o and p, as shown and described.
2. The design for the oblong globular section D, consisting of the parts q rs s, t and t, as shown and described.
3. The design for the lower section, E, consisting of the parts a a 1F, c, c, w m y, as shown and described.
