DESlGN FOR HEATlNG-STOVES.

Specification forming part of Design No. 8,840, dated December 14, M75; application liled December It, 1575.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S. VED- DER, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer, and State of New York, TOBIAs S. HEISTER, of Lansingburg, in said county and State, and FRANCIS RITCHIE, of said city of Troy, have jointly invented and produced a new and o iginal Ornamental Design for Heating-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had tothc accompanying wood-cut, print, or engraving of a stove having our said new design.

One part of our invention is the design for the cover A, consisting of the upper ennui-er concave surface b, with the ornamentation 0 along its lower and outer edge, the lower and outer molding d, and the ornamental forms e around the lower portion of the annular convex surface f, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the aforesaid print.

Another part of our invention is the design for the top G, consisting of the row of alter nating oval ornaments h and check-work 0lnamentations i on the upper and inner concave molding j, the row of ornaments it upon and around the inclined surface I, the series of ornamental forms 6 along and around the lower portion of the convex molding m, and the series of ornaments it upon and around the concave-convex molding o, the whole shaped and combined substantially as repre' sented in the aforesaid out.

Another part of our invention is the design for the upper door P, consisting of the windows q having semicircular tops, and arranged upon the oblong rectangular panel r, and the surrounding border composed of the diamond-link side ornnmcntations s, and the raised quadrangular corner-pieces t,all shaped and combined substantially as shown in the aforesaid engraving.

Another part of our invention is the design for the door U, consisting of the sprigorna ments 1; in the corners of the panels Z, and the surrounding border, composed of the diamond-link side ornamentations s, and the raised quadrangular corner-pieces 15', all shaped and arranged substantially as represented in the aforesaid cut.

Another part of our invention is the design for the fender-ring, the same consisting of the inner rim-molding \Y, the outer rim X, and theintermediatcopen-work portion formed by the ornamental radial supports Y arranged apart from each other, and each composed of the inner part 2, straight on its lateral sides and lint on its top, the outer part a having concave ontwardly-llaring sides and concave top, and the intervening part 1 having convex sides and a flat top, in continuation of the top of the part 2, all formed and arranged together substantially as shown in he aforesaid print.

Another part of our invention is the design for the base B, consisting of the outer molding 1), the series of ornamental forms it along the lower portion of the convex molding er, the series of ornaments it upon and along the concave molding w, and the series of diamond ornaments g on the inner molding of the base, all formed and disposed substantially as represented in the aforesaid out.

We do not herein claim the design for the legs.

What we claim as our invention is- 1. The design for the cover A, consisting of the parts b, c, d, e, and f, all shaped and arranged as described.

2. The design for the top G, consisting of the parts h i j, It l, e in, and n 0, all shaped and arranged as set forth.

3. The design for the door P, consisting of the windows q, panel 1', and border composed of the ornamentations s and t, all shaped and arranged together as described.

4. The design for the door U, consisting of the sprig-ornaments r in the corners of the panel Z, and the surrounding border, composed of the ornamentations s and t, all shaped and arranged together as set forth.

5. The design for the tender-ring, consisting of the inner rim W, lower and outer rim X, and intermediate open-work portion formed by the separated radial supports Y, each 00mhands in the presence of two subscribing witposed of the parts z, a, and g, all shaped and nesses this 1st day of December, 1875. arranged as hereinbet'ore specified,and shown NICHOLAS S.
