To all whom Iit muy concern Be it known that we, XicnoLAs Ynnnnn, ot the city of Troy, in the county ot' Rensselaer and State ot' New York, FuANCis lli'ronin, of said city of.' Troy, and Tonus S. .llnis'rnm of the village ot' Lansinglmrg, in said county of Rensselaer, New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Base-Burning Stoves, ot' which the I'ollowing is a specification, reference heilig' had to the accompanying cut, print, or engraving ot' a stove having our said new design.

One part ot' this invention consists oi' the design for the urn A, composed of the globular bod)Y l), having the equatorial band c, ornamented hy the interrupted angular bead d, and also having the selnicircular places c between the equatorial ends ot' the sectional panels j', with the depressed trilid ornaments r/ therein, and the said globular` bod)Y having` lateral studs l1, with pendent handles i, and the eappiecej and base-stein lr, all shaped, ornamented, and combined substantially as represented in the aforesaid cut.

Another part consists ot' the design for the compound depressed ornament L in the inner panels )l ofthe upper section, composed of the base-cup n, supporting the stem o, having lateral pairs of ower bearing branches 1i, scroll-branches p, and leaf -branches 112, and the trid top q, all shaped, ornamented, and combined as represented in the aforesaid print.

Another part consists of the design for the panels of the upper section, composed of the central depressed ornament L in the in ner panel M, the depressed border ornamentation r, the rectangular transversely ribbed or grooved border-molding s, having ornamented square corner-pieces s', and the surrounding rectanguiar surface t, ornamented by the series of connected radial impression ornaments, all shaped and arranged together so as to appear substantially as represented in the aforesaid engraving.

Another part consists of the design for the doors U, each having three illuminating-windows therein, with transversely ribbed or grooved intervening lstiles r r and caps 1r, each tbrmed b v a central horizontal und two lateral inclined moldings, and all surrounded by a lmrder-molding, .1'. having an outwardlyturned scalloped edge, and the whole surmounted ln' the cap-piece y, formed b v the horizontal and two lateral inclined moldings above the space s over the middle window, and lun'izontal moldings terminating in scrolls over and upon the horizontal parts ot' the tops ot` the two outer windows, ull shaped, ornamented, and combined as represented in the aforesaid print.

Another part consists of the design for the doors C,each having therein two illuminatingwindows, with the stile a` between them, and with caps Z1, each formed by a horizontal central aml two lateral inelined moldings, and all surrounded by a border molding, I, having a scalloped edge turned outward, and the whole surlnounted by a cap-piece, m, formed by the central horizontal and two short lateral inclined moldingsl above the angular space u, over and between the inner upper parts o1' the cap-moldings ot' the two windows, and horizontal moldings` terminating in lscrolls over and at the outer ends ot' the horizontal parts ofthe said moldings immediately over the two windows, the whole being shaped, ornamented, and combined as represented in the aforesaid engraving.

Another part consists of the design for the top plate D of the lower base-section,co1n posed of the outer compound molding E, surrounding the flat ornameuted portion F, and the concave or inclined part G, having thereon the series of ornaments H, arranged side by side, with the lower parts ovate-acuminate and pointed downward, and with acuminate-ovate ornainentations thereon, and with the upper parts narrower than the lower parts, and having straight sides and contracted ends, with upwardly-pointed long and narrow ornamentations with rounded lower ends on the wider portions of the upper parts, and the whole sha-pcd, ornanicnted, and arranged substatitially as represented in the aforesaid cut.

Another part consists of the design for the side panel I of the lower sect-ion, composed oi' the inner and outer sunken ornaments J and Kin the plain,curved,rectangular inner panel N, the transversely ribbed or grooved snrronnding border-molding l, with square ornaments on its corners, and the outer surrounding ornamental snrlaee Q, all shaped,'orna mented, and arranged together as represented in the aforesaid engraving.

lhat we claim as our joint invention isl. The design for the nrn A, composed of the globular body B, equatorial band c, with ornaments d, parts c and f, with ornaments g, lateral studs h, with pendent handles cappieeej, and base-stein 7c, all shaped,ornamented, and combined as shown and described.

2. The design for the eomponnd depressed ornament Lin the inner panel M ofthe upper section, composed of the vase n, stem o, leaf, scroll, and lower branches p ,pl p2, and top q, all shaped and arranged as specified and shown.

3. The design for the panels or divisions ot' the upper section, composed of the depressed central compound ornament L and surrounding ornamentation i' in the inner panel M, the border-molding s, with corner ornaments s', and the surrounding ornamental surface t, all shaped,ornamented, and arranged together as shown and specified.

4. rlhe design for the doors U, composed of the three illnminating-windows with the Stiles o U, caps w, molding m, cap-piece y, and space or recessed surface z, all shaped, ornamented, and arranged together as described and shown.

5. The design for the doors C, eomposed of the two illn1ninating-windows with the stile a, caps b, border-molding I, cap-piece in, and angular recess 1r, all shaped, ornamented, and disposed together as specified and shown.

G. The design for the lower top plate D, composed of the compound molding E, flat surface F, and inelined portion G, with the ornaments 1I thereon, all shaped, formed, ornamented, and arranged together as shown and described.

'7. The design for the side panel l ot' the lower base-section, composed of the inner and onter sunken ornaments J and K in the panel N, bonler-mohling l?, and ornamental surface Q, all shaped, ornamented, and arranged together as specified and shown.
