DESIGN FOR COOKING-RANGES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 9,676, dated December 19, 1876: application filed November 28, 1876.

To all whom tt may concern:
Be it known that We, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER and FnANcls RITGHIE, each of the city of' Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and 'LoBIAs S. HEISTER, of the village of Lansingburg, in said countbT and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for CookingRanges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying ent, print, or engraving of a range having our said new design.
One part of this invention is the design for the panel-border A, consisting of the rows of oblongr rectangular plain surfaces c, alternating with the oblong rectangular creased surfaces b and the rectangular corner ornaments c, all shaped and arranged together as represented in the aforesaid eut.
Another partis the design for the doors and panels 13,0, D, E,F,G, and B,eonsistingot' the border ornamentations A, composed of the parts a, b, and o, the central quadrilateral tablet d, having straight sides e, concave corners and the surrounding molding g, and `the intermediate panel-surface h, all shaped and arranged together substantially as represented in the aforesaid print.
Another part is the design for the front side I of the elevated closet, consisting of the upper cavetto molding t', with the ornamehted projecting parts j thereon, the compound ornaments c on the raised end parts, and the bead molding L along the bottom edge, all shaped and arranged as represented in the aforesaid engraving.
Another part is the design for the end standarde J, consisting ofthe oblong upright rectangul-ar panel m, having the ornamental border molding n, and the three-sided panel o, having the ornamental border p, all shaped and arranged as shown iu the aforesaid print.
Another part is the design for the bracket K, as extended Linder the reservoir-easing L, and composed ot' the compound sorollarm q r s t and the angular bar u, with trifd ends o and bracts w, all shaped and arranged in com bin-ation as represented in the aforesaid cut.
What we claim as our invention is- 1. rlhe design for the panel-border A, consisting ofthe parts a, b, and c, all shaped and arranged as speciied and shown.
2. The design for the doors and panels B, C, D, E, F, G, and H, consisting ofthe parts A, d, e, f, g, and h, as described.
3. The design for the front Iof the elevated closet, consisting of the parts ,j, k, and l, all shaped and arranged together as described.
4. The design for the end standards J, consisting of the parts m n and o p, shaped and arranged as described.
5. The design for the bracket K under the reservoir-casing L, and composed of the compound scroll-arm q 'r s t, and the`.parts u, o, and w, all shaped and arranged together as shown and described.
