Design No. 4,246, dated July 19, 1870.
DESIGN FOR STOVE-PLATES.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S. VEDDEB. and FRANCIS RITCHIE, both of Troy, and TOBIAS S. Hars- TER, of Lansingburg, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced certain new and original features in Designs for Stove- Plates, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying photographic representation of a dwarf stove having our new design.
One new part of our invention is the ornamental design of the vase A, having all the parts thereof shaped and arranged together, as shown in the afore said photograph.
Another part of our invention is the ornamental design of the open-work cover B, having its various parts shaped and disposed together, so as to appear as represented in the photograph aforesaid.
Another part of our design is the compound panel ornament 0, having the parts thereof shaped and arranged together, and cast upon and with a stove-plate,
so as to appear as represented in the aforesaid photograph. Another part of our invention is the design for the lower front doors D, composed of the central ornament 0 and a border ornament, f, shaped and arranged so as to appear substantially as shown in the aforesaid photographic representation.
Another part of our invention is the design for the front plate G, as distinguished by the arched ornamental door-frame h, pilasters 'i 'i, and cross-beam j, shaped and arranged so as to appear substantially the same as represented in the aforesaid photograph.
What we claim as our invention and production, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The ornamental design of the vase A, as shown.
2. The ornamental form of the open-work cover B, as shown and described.
3. The panel ornament C, shaped and arranged upon and cast with a stove-plate, as herein shown and described.
4. The design for the lower front doors I), as shown and described.
5. The herein-described design for the front plate G.
