To all whom it may concern;-

Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, of Troy, and Tonus S. Hnrstrnn, of Lansingbnrg, in the county of' Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced certain new and original features in Designs for Stove-Plates, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photographic representation oi' an oven parlor-stove, having our new design.

One new feature of our design consists in the formation of an oven parlor-stove, with the vertical lower portion A B thereof wider from front to rear than the perpendicular upper portion O D, and with intervening inclined or curved parts e f in front and rear, and with the top plate G projecting forward and depressed in its front part, h, all in combination, substantially as shown in and by the accompanying photograph.

Another new feature of our design consists in the formation of the front plate of an oven parlor-stove, with the lower vertical portion A forward of the plane of the upper perpendicular section O, and united thereto by inclined or curved parts e e, with the firedoor opening I in the upper section, and a projecting part, J J, with apertures k therein, just below the large opening I, all substantially as shown in and by the photograph aforesaid.

Another part of our invention consists of the compound centcr ornament L and border ornamentation m, shaped and arranged upon a door or doors or a plate or plates of a stove, with or without an intermcdiate molding, n, substantially as shown in the aforesaid photograph.

What we claim as our invention and production, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. The general form of an oven parlor-stove, as distinguished by the wider perpendicular lower portion A B, narrower vertical upper portion O D, intermediate inclined or curved parts e f, and top plate G, with its depressed projecting iiont part, h, all in combination, as herein described and shown.

2. The form of the front plate, as distinguished by the perpendicular lower and upper sections A O and intermediate inclined or curved portion e e, with a iire door opening, I, in the upper section, and a projecting part, J at the bottom thereof, with apertures k therein, as herein shown and described.

3. Thedesign, composed of the center ornament L and border ornamentation m, as shown and described.y
