Specification forming part of Design No. 10,942, dated December 3, 1878; application filed November 15, 1878. [Term of patent 311; years] To all whom it may concern:

Bc it known that we, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and TOBIAS S. HEIS- TER, of the village ot' Lansingburg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying print, out, or engraving of a stove havin g our said new design.

One part of this invention is the design for the base-plate E, consisting' of the series of oblique, rectangular, zigzag fillet ornamentations f, the convex molding g, having along its upper part the series of alternate scroll ornaments g and three-cleft ornaments g2, and the outer border, h, having the laterally-proiectiug ornamented portions la', all shaped and coinbined substantially as represented in the aforesaid engraving.

Another part is the design for the front plate, I, consisting of the circular arch portion j, having therein the ornamental register k and eblique border ornamentation l, and the generally rectangular lower portion, m, having the interior ornamented illumination-panel a, and the border o, embraein g the oblique, rectangular iillet ornamentation o', all shaped aud arranged together snbstantialbT as shown in the aforesaid print.

Another part is the design for the door l, consisting of the ornamental border q, having thereon the oblique, rectangular fillet ornamentation q, and the panel r, having thereon the compound center-piece s, composed of the ornamented raised frame sl, inclosing the central bouquet, s, all shaped and arranged together as shown in the aforesaid cut.

Another part is the design for the combined top and cap T W, consisting of the outer moldings, n, the convex molding u, having along its upper edge the series of downwardly-scalloped and drop ornaments u', the series of an guiar obliquely zigzag ornaments tf, the fillet t, the convex molding p, having along its Vupper edge the series of scroll-like ornaments p', the concave molding i, the llet e2, the series of ornaments c', the concave molding c, the compound fillet moldings r, and the convex molding w, having along its upper edge the se ries of alternate scroll ornaments y and threecleft ornaments y', with or Without the concave molding .r and scroll ornamentation af', all shaped and arranged together as represented in the aforesaid print.

What We claim as our invention is- 1. The design for the base-plate E, consist ing of the parts f, g gl g2, h It', all shaped and arranged as shown and described.

2. The design for the front plate, I, composed of the parts j kl and m a o o', all shaped and arranged as described.

3. The design for the door l, consstin g of the parts q q', i', and .s sl s, shaped and combined as set forth.

4. The design for the combined top and cap T l/V, consisting of the parts c, u u', t', f,pp',i, c2,c, c, and .fr y y,a1l shaped and arranged together as shown and described.
