DESIGN FOR THE PLATES OF A STOVE.
The Schedule referred to in these Lette-:e Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern..-
Be it known that I, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer, and State of New York, have invented or produced a new and origi nal Design for Stove-Plates, of which the following is a full and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photographs, in which- Figure 1 is a side-plate, and
Figures 2 and 3 are door-plates- Like parts are marked by the same letters in the different figures, which are made to different scales.
My new design for the side-plate A consists essentially of the corner ornaments b c, end mouldings d d, and oval centre-piece, composed of a rope-like bordermoulding, e, vine-like ornamentation f, cross-frame g, with centre-piece h, end-olasps i i i i, and sets nf upright ribs jjj, jjj, all shaped and arranged around and upon the oblong panel k, so as to appear as represented in Iig. 1.
The design for the door-plate L consists of the centrai ornamental rectangular panel m, composed of the outer moulding n, and series of alternate plain and ornamental ribs o p, and plain surfaces q, surrounded by the plain surface a', and outside rope-like moulding e, all shaped and arranged as represented in iig. 2; and
The design for the door-plate S consists of the compound central ornament tu, upon the ribbed surfacepanel o, surrounded by a border with the rope-like moulding e thereon, the whole shaped and disposed so as to present an appearance like that represented in Eig. 3.
What I claim as my invention or production, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for the stove-plates A., L, and S, as herein shown and described.
