DESIGN FOR BOX-STOVE.

Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S. Vnnnnn, a resident of Troy, in the county of Renssclaer and State of New York, andTonrAs S. Hars- TER, a resident of Lansingbnrg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Box- Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad by letters to the accompanying Wood cut or engraving of a box-stove, which embodies our said new design.

One part of our invention consists of the design for the compound panel-ornament N or Q, composed of a swelling body, having a central rosette thereon, concave upper and lower sides, convex ends, projecting and receding angles at the four corners, and a surrounding angular molding, forming a projecting hollow square at each of the four principal corners, with scroll-like ornamentations in the side concavities, and quadrangular ornaments projecting from the convex ends of the surrounding molding; all shaped, ornamented, and arranged together, substantially as shown, on the side plate and end door I? of the box-stove shown in the accompanying illustrative engraving.

Another part of our invention consists of the design for the rectangular ornamental panelborder 0 or R, composed of the angular outer molding, having right-angled bends therein near the four principal. corners, the rows of beads along the inner edges of the middle por' tions of the four sides and ends of the said outer molding, and the ornamentations in the four principal corners of the border; all shaped and arranged together so as to appear substantially as represented in the aforesaid out.

Another part of our invention consists of the design for the panel of the side plate or the door P as distinguished by the compound ornament N or Q arranged upon the middle of, and the ornamental border 0 or R arranged around, a plain surface, as shown in the accompanying cut; the said compound ornament and ornamental border being each composed of several parts, all shaped and arranged as hereinbetore specified.

The top plate, bottom plate, and legs may each have any desired design; and we do not claim the design for any of those parts, as shown in the accompanying cut, nor a panelborder having rows of beads along the inner sides of the outer molding thereof.

Vhat we claim as our joint invention is- 1. The design for the compound panel-ornament N or Q, composed of the several parts hereinbefore specified, all shaped and arranged together substantially as represented in the accompanying engraving.

2. The design for the panel-border O or R, composed of the angular molding, beads, and corner ornamentations, all shaped and arranged together as described and shown.

3. The design for the panel of the side plate or door P, as distinguished by the compound central ornament N or Q and the ornamental border 0 or B, respectively, composed of several parts, shaped and arranged together as hereinbefore particularly described, and disposed upon and around the plain surface of the panel, as represented in the aforesaid engraving.
