DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,036, dated December 28, 1886.
Application filrd April 12, I880. Serial No. 198,641. Term of pnten! 7 yrars.
To all whont 1'6 may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE Bnnos'rRoM, of Neenah, in the county of Winnebago and State of \Visconsin, have invented and pro 5 duced a new and original Design for Stoves, of
which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
The accompanying engraving represents a pcrpective view of a stove, in which are shown the several ornamental figures which constitute my design.
Like figures are represented by the same 1 refercnceletters.
The leading features of my design consist in the raised and incised ornamental figures representing a bouquet of tlowers, A, upon the door; the panels B 13, arranged at right angles to each other upon the legs of the stove, separated by marginal lines a, and provided with raised and incised figures b upona roughened surface, 0; the ornamental raised and incised figures C and D D upon the fender,
around the hearth of the stove; the ornamental .panels E E and the raised and incised ornamental figures F F, representing leaves and flowers having a roughened surface; the rectangular or ornamental corner panels, G G,
having raised and incised figures thereon representing leaves and flowers upon a roughened surface, located near the upper corners of the front door of the stove; panel H, located above the door, having raised and incised ornamental 3 5 figures thereon representing leaves and flowers upona roughened surface; the narrow panel I, upon which the word Amber is shown in basrelief upon a roughened surface located be tween the front door and the draftslide; the
0 door J, having two series of rectangular windows or lights, arranged one above the other, and a circular opening or light, K, located at or near the center of said rectangular lights; the ornamental border L, located near the top of the stove; the ornamental raised or incised border M, formed around the top of the stove, located beneath the cover; the ornamental cover having converging panels N N at its ends and sides with raised and incised figuresthereon, and the panels O O at its ends and sides, which panels are subdivided by marginal lines I l and Q.
What I claim is- 1. The design for the stove front or body, consisting of the horizontal panel H, having raised and incised ornamental figu res formed thereon representing leaves and flowers, the rectangular corner panels, G, having raised figures formed thereon within an annular border, and vertical panels E, located upon the respeetive sides of the door beneath said corner panels, as set forth.
2. In a design for a stove, the stovedoor J, subdivided into two series of angular lights, arranged one above another around a circular liglit located near the center of said angular lights, as shown and described.
3. The design for the top of the stove, con sisting in the narrow ornamental border M, convex panels N and O,converging upwardly toward the center and subdivided by converging marginal lines P and Q, said panels being ornamented by an upperhorizontally-arranged series of flowers and two lower series ofleaves, as shown and described.
4. The design for the base of the stove, consisting in the incised corner ornaments D, formed at the corner of the fender, the central panel (7, rectangular panels 13 B, formed on the legs and divided beneath the corner of the stove by vertical lines a, upon the respective sides of which lines a are raised ornamental figures b,formed upon a roughened surface, as shown and described.
