DESIGN FOR A COOKlNG-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,883, dated July 20, 1880. Application filed J une 14, 1880. Term of patent 35 years.
To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that NIcHoLAs S. VEDDER, deceased, late of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and To- BIAs S. HEIs'rER, a resident of Lansiugburg, in said county and State, did jointly invent and produce a certain new and original Design for Cooking-Stoves; and that OTIS G. CLARK, residing in the aforesaid city of Troy,
1o and DANIEL D. BUGKLIN, residing in Lansingbnrg, aforesaid, are the executors of the last will and testament of said NICHOLAS S. VED- DER, deceased; and we, thesaid OTIS G. CLARK, DANIEL D. BUGKLIN, and ToBIAs S. HEISTER,
hereby declare that the following is a specifi cation of said new design,reference heilig had to the accompanying print, cnt, or engraving representing the same.
One part of this invention is the design of zo the panel ornament A, composed of the central medallion, b, representing an ornamented female human head, the panel c, surrounded by the frame d, having the laterally-extended and scroll-ornamented lower portion, o, the side 2 5 scrolls, f, and the reverselyinclined top portion,g, having the projeetingcorner ornaments, h, central ornament, t', and incnt ornamentations j, all shaped and arranged together so as to present the appearance represented in 3o the aforesaid cut. l
Another part is the design for the panelborder K, composed of the inner bead, l, having the truncated corners m and scalloped edging a, the outer bead, o, intermediate matted ground, p, compound scroll ornaments g in the corners, and the diamond-like ornaments lr', all shaped and arranged together so as to appear as represented in the aforesaid print.
Another part is the design for the oven-door,
4o consisting of the panel ornament A,composed as above described, and centrally arranged on the panel S, and the compound border K of said panel, composed as above specified, and the Whole combination presenting the appear- 4 5 ance represented in the aforesaid engraving.
Another part is the design for the closetdoor, consisting of the central medallion, b', mat o', and surrounding frame d' on the panel t, and the ornamental border K', composed of the parts l', m', a', o,p', q', and r', all shaped 5o and arranged together so as to present the appearance represented in the accomlmnying out.
Another part is the design for the door or panel at the end of the fire-box, consisting of the medallion b2 only on the panel u and the ornamental border composed of the parts l2, mn, 02,112, q2, and r2, all shaped and arranged so as to appear as represented in the aforesaid print.
