DESIGN FOR THE PLATES OF A PARLOR 0R HEATING STOVE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,733, dated June 21, 1873; application filed April 18, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, S. H. RANSOM, of the city and county of Albany and State of New York, have invented a Design for the Plates of a Parlor or Heating Stove, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying engraving, to which reference is made.
A represents the urn, formed as shown, and ornamented around the main or spherical part with a. band of scale-work, and the several sections of the base with a. series of leaves, the handles on each side being of fancy scrollwork. B represents the upper portion of the body, divided into several panels by strips and bands of scale-work, on the surface of which panels are the oval ornaments, composed of scrolls, leaves, and raised work, as shown. 0 represents the peculiarly-formed intermediate rim-plate, its upper surface bein g ornamented with a series of rosettes alternate with small spear-head formations, the lower portion being ornamented by graduated tlntings and bead-work adapted to its peeul iar crescent-shaped form. D represents the doors of the mica story, finished on their outer and inner edges with a series of beadwork and finished at the top byrosottes. E represents an intermediate section, the upper portion of its surface ornamented with l'estoons, inverted, of bead-work, and its lower surface with festoons, of alternate shields and bead-work. F represents the base section, ornamented with a series of festoons, inverted, of headwork. From each end depend pearl-shaped pendants, alternate with fancy columns with scroll-work tops. G represents the main bottom of stove, ornamented with series of scalloped, headed, raised work, alternate with fan-shaped and scrolled configurations on its upper or inner surface, and the small continuous drop" work with head-shaped finish around its lower or outer edge.

What I claim as my invention is-- A design for the plates of a parlor or heating stove, substantially in the manner above mentioned.
