DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,831, dated August 25, 1873 g application filed June 28, 1873.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WlLLIAM D. SOUTHARD, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a Design for Cylinder-Stove and Urn, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is full y represented in the accompanying illustration, to which reference is made.
Arepresents the cylinderof the stove, which is made of sheet-iron. B is the base, which is made of cast-iron. C is the hearth, which has a removable box-damper, D. The base has also ornamental sections E, and a tinted sec tion, F, ali inclining upward to the cylinder A. Gis the door, composed of a semicircular arch, H,with two Gothic micaopenings,1. J is the cap-plate, in the form of an ornamental holow truncated cone. K is the urn, coniposed of an ornamented base, L, a supportingcoinmn, M, snrmonnted by the ewer or basin N, of hemispherieal form, with lines 0 at an angle of about forty-live degrees, which intersect, representing basket-Work. P is a surrounding ornamental border, supported by two ornamented S-shaped brackets, Q, on opposite Sides. R is the rim of the basin, which rises above the border P, and is ornamented and serrated.
What lfglaim as my invention is- 1. The design for the base of the stove, composed of the rope ornament B, fiuted part F, and intermediate portion E, having raised points or projections, as shown.
2. The design for the urn K, having the has ketwork ewer, the arabesqne brackets, and serrated rim, as shown.
3. The design for a cyiindenstove, including the base B E F, the body A, door G H, and top J, as shown.
