DESIGN FOR STOVES.

Specification forming partof Design No. 10,929, dated November 26, 1878; application filed November 15, 1878. [Tenn of patent 3% years] To all whom it may concern:

Beit known that we, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rousselaer and State of New York, and TOBIAS S. HEISTER, of the village of Lausingburg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to acco1npanying cut, print, or engraving of a stove havin g our said new design.

One part of this invention is the design for the vase A, consisting of the body Z1, having the lower tapering portion, 0, with ornaments c thereon, the middle band-like portion (I, having upper and lower flanges, d, and the intermediate ornament, d, and the upper convex portion, 0, and concave part c, in connection with the arch-like crest f, of curved form, with top ornament, g, bottom ornaments, g and intermediate ornaments, 9 all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid print.

Another part is the design for the upper section, B, consisting of the oblique, rectangular, zigzag, fillet ornamentation h along the borders of the panel surfaces 2, and the internal ornamental frame-like border j around the inner panel surface, k, having thereon the leaf ornament I, all substantially as represented in the aforesaid engraving, with or without the corner ornaments m.

Another part is the design for the openwork section U, consisting of the middle series of oblique, zigzag, rectangular, fillet'bars 11, extending across the space between, and connected to the upper and lower obliquely scalloped ornamental border parts, 0 0, and the whole being of down wardly-convex form, as shown in the aforesaid out.

Another part is the design for the panelsection D, consisting of the ornamented border 1), having the ornaments q, and surround ing the two quadrilateral panels 7' r, having truncate corners, and the oblique rectangular cruciform ornaments s in the middle, all shaped and arranged as represented in the aforesaid print.

What we claim as our invention is- 1. The design for the vase A, consisting of the parts I) c 0' cl d d c c and fg g 9 shaped and arranged as shown and described.

2. The design for the upper section, 13, consisti n g of the parts h, i, j, Ir, and I, as described.

3. The design for the open-work section 0. consisting of the parts a 0 0, all shaped and arranged as shown and described.

4. The design for the panel-section 1), consisting of the parts p q, r r, s, as set forth.
