DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,093, dated January 4, 1881.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, I]. CLAY BASOUM and CYRUS A. HODGES, each of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Stoves, of which the following is a specification, refl erence being bad to the accompanying cut, print, or engraving of a stove which embodies to our said new design.
The design for the legs consists,essentially, of the band-like top part, A, having ovoloshaped ends 1), ground 0, and row of radial ornaments d, in combination with the main [5 portion B, having the ornamental edge-moldings e, swelling snrl'ace f, and main quadrilateral ornament g, having ornamental edges, and the four sub-ornaments g',all shaped and arranged together so as to present theappear- 2o anee represented in the accom ninying print.
The design for the door-frames consists of the orinimental arch l), composed of the surface Ii, the top border-molding, i, of curved and angularshape in the direction ot'its length,
the branching middle ornai'nent,j, and corner ornaments 7:, and the lower hmder-molding, composed ot the four subarches l, united by the pendent ornaments m and upright ornaments hi, all shaped and arranged together as represented in the accompanying engraving.
The design for the end door consists of the upper and larger section, E, and smaller projecting section F, said upper section having the central compound quadrilateral ornament,
n, with the ornamental projections a at the sides, top, and bottom, the panelsurtace 0, the compound ornamental inner border, 19 p, and the compound corner ornaments p and the said lower section having the central oblong 4o tablet, q, panel-surface q, corner ornaments q and ornamental border q, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown in the accompanying cut.
The design for the side door consists of the upper section, G, having therein the four damper-aperturcs r, of nprightly-oblong form, with straight bottoms and sides and round arched tops, in combination with the projectinglower section, H, having the two illuminatioirapero tures s, with arched tops and straight sides and bottoms, and the one intervening and two lateral compound ornaments, s, all shaped and disposed together as represented in the aforesaid eng aving.
The design for the upper front ornament, I, is composed of the oblong rectangular tablet t, having the central projecting scroll-ornamented cireulararcsm, at thetop and bottom, the scroll-ornaments u projecting at the ends, and the ornamental letters a, all shaped and arranged together so as to appear as represented in the aforesaid print.
The design for the cover J is composed of the outer compound border-molding, "v, the series of alternately-(iitierent u iwardly-poiuted ornamentsw w. the series of scroll-ornamcnts wand scallop-borderx on the convexly-curved surface ac, aml the compound ornament 3/ on the \erticallvconcave surface 2, all shaped and arranged together as shown in the at'oresaid cut.
What we claim as our joint invention is 1. The design for the legs, composed of the parts A I) c d and B cfg all shaped and arranged together, as set forth. 7

4. The design for the side door, composed of the section Cr, having the four parts 1", and the section H, having the two parts .9, and three parts s, all shaped and combined as shown and described.
5. The design for the upper front ornament,
